Regarding colourways, females don't need to look attractive when in high demand but they do need a protective look every time, I guess. Also, it might be the male's responsibility to divert predators from the nest.

I don't have a solid rebuttal for this. You are correct. Regardless of how not hungry the female is, she will still eat the males food, and the male should be pleased to supply said nourishment....although he will now go without because she wasn't hungry.

I don't know if explicitly ugly women can be in demand (they might be according to the dedicated neighbouring thread). I would guess they are simply desperate. There should be "a bit" more of common sense in the animal world.

Yes, I'm very familiar w those cute marsupials, I know they sound like a broken carburetor sometimes lol. However, they also make a cute screeching noise when calling out for their moms. Nothing will sway me from being enamoured forever w them!

Agree! Was watching a show with them last night called "The secrets of the Zoo: Down Under." Had an episode about cute Koalas. It was on the Nat Geo Wild channel. Very good show with lots of wonderful animals.
