I couldn't find the full chase video they showed as the first viewer-submitted triple play on last night's "Live:PD" episode on YouTube. They spiked both passenger side tires, but the dude still kept running for miles on secondary roads into oncoming traffic. He stopped twice to get out, looked around, and then got back in to start the chase up again.
The end was at the top of an arch bridge over the Miami (OH) River, where he got out a third time with police/swat setting up behind him for the felony stop. He saw that there were no police cars in front of him on the far side of the bridge, heard the train coming, and I guess thought that he could make the ultimate escape across the grade crossing before the officers could get back into their cars and start chasing him again. Unfortunately for him, his timing was bad, and I'm guessing that his turning/stopping to avoid the collision were impaired by driving on two rims when he realized that he wasn't going to beat the train.....

Gascon is out! Maybe there’s some hope for the rule of law and the protection of the citizens in L.A. County.
Trump is in! Maybe there’s some hope for the rule of law and the protection of the citizens in this country. |

Sedan, hypothetical for a relative...
Who's responsible should a minor get a hold of a firearm in a home that belongs to someone other than the homeowner? |

1. Was the homeowner aware the firearm was in the home? If so, what measures were implemented to safeguard that firearm? 2. Were the parents aware the firearm was in the home? Did they bring it into the home? What measures were implemented to safeguard that firearm? 3. Why was the firearm left unattended? A home without minor children isn’t bound by requirements to store firearms in a safe. I would tell the relative they could be partially responsible should that firearm be left unattended and a minor shoot someone or commit suicide. If they were never aware of the gun in the first place, the liability wouldn’t fall on them, but rather, the person who was responsible for bringing the gun into the home. I have a Privacy question. My Neighbor recently built a small garden this summer right on his side of our property fence, he built a chicken fence structure to protect his veggies from animals, etc and put a giant Owl atop it. I thought this was to ward off birds. The other day, I noticed the Owl's head was turning and upon closer observation, noticed it's "eyes" were camera lenses! I managed to find the exact model online and will provide the link so you can see what this crazy thing can do. Essentially he's put a "spy" camera that is pointing directly into my back yard, patio, rear deck and essentially everywhere. I consider this to be invading my privacy, but not sure if I have any legal grounds to complain against it. Any help would be appreciated. The owl sits well above our shared property line and is about 2 feet back onto his side, but it's clearly pointed at my back yard, house, deck, etc.
Here is the Owl Spy Camera: https://www.dalenproducts.com/produc...42843243282688

It doesn’t hurt to contact your local police department. If the responding officers have a developed and articulate verbal judo, that should rectify the issue. Otherwise building something to obscure the camera’s view into your backyard would be the next step. Last edited by Sedan_Clan; 11-12-2024 at 06:24 PM.. |
