Lazar claims to have obtained master's degrees in physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and in electronics from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech). However, both universities show no record of him.[1][6] Scientists Stanton T. Friedman and Donald R. Prothero have stated that nobody with Lazar's high school performance record (bottom third) would be accepted by either institution.[1][2] Lazar is unable to supply the names of any lecturers or fellow students from his alleged tenures at MIT and Caltech; one supposed Caltech professor, William Duxler, was in fact located at Pierce Junior College and had never taught at Caltech.[1][7] Friedman asserted, "Quite obviously, if one can go to MIT, one doesn't go to Pierce. Lazar was at Pierce at the very same time he was supposedly at MIT more than 2,500 miles away."[1]

I have been aware of Lazar for about 35 years. I found him interesting at first, then his fabrications started coming to light.

The nearest planet to earth that is thought to have the conditions possible for life is 4 light years away. A planet that inhabits the so-called Goldilock's zone. Assuming that it has an atmosphere, water, and intelligent life, and has developed near magical technology.

Light travels at 186,282 miles per second. There are 31,536,000 seconds in a year.

So 4 x 186,282 x 31,536,000 is the number of miles away. The distances are incredibly vast. So vast, as to be nearly incomprehensible.

The leap from seeing something that one cannot explain, to it being extraterrestrial is quite a leap. Almost any other explanation is more logical.
