We've got a 13 year old Maltese. Think about that, 13 x 7 = 91 years old. I swear the thing's gonna keel over any day now...
Still, it has to be the most epic thing in the whole wide world.

My/my parents dog has got to be 15 or 16 now. We're not EXACTLY sure, because she was a rescue, but we got her many years ago and they think she was 2 or 3 then. She's still hanging in there just fine. She doesn't play like a puppy anymore, but she'll still run around.

Pembroke Welsh Corgi. (But pretty much any dog that will catch a frisbee)
My mom is into Blue Heelers. I think the ones my mom breeds are miniatures though.. They are shorter than most heelers, a darker blue with barely if any grey. The only markings are their full black masks with brown dots on their cheeks and eyebrows, brown inner ear, sides of the mouth, chest, and paws. (Like the 2nd pic, except a darker coat) My dad is into Brittany's, and likes to hunt. I'll post some pics of our dogs, and blue heeler puppies if I find my brothers camera. -Nathan

No, but when they're pissed at you they'll shit in the house. In college all my roommates had dogs. So I got the joys of owning a dog, with none of the responsiblity. |

Favorite type of dog = boxer
favorite cat type = egyptian mau/minx I think that is how you spell it. I actually have a black cat now and it is awesome. I have wanted a black cat my ENTIRE life. She is great and her name is BANDIT. Cats are so easy I cant imagine why everyone would not have one. I can see not haveing one if you have Allersgies but other than that everyone. They are actually very smart and a great companion. The cat gets so exited when I come home from work and comes and sees me anytime I am home. I have had her since she was a kitten. Plus she was FREE. You cant beat that.

Right now we've got a Coonhound mix (black and tan crosed with a bluetick is our best guess) who is a pound rescue. Along with a 20 pound cat of indeterminate lineage. |

The temperment is really important. With our Boerboel, we made absolutely sure to meet both the mother and father. I examine how they react when we pull up... if they even start off aggressive, I move on. These you could tell were smart; they kept their cautious distance until their owner greeted us warmly. Then it was all licks, petting, and trying to get us to throw the ball... So far, great family guardian pets.
