In the city, yes. Current zoning is house can be 50% of property so a 6,000 sq ft lot is a 3,000 sq ft house. The older, smaller houses on big lots that have been updated is what I’m looking for. Current min is 40 x 100 for single family homes. Older homes on big property sell to builders. They buy a house on a 80 or 120 x 100 lot, knock it down, split the property, and build 2 or 3 homes on 40 x 100 lots. I want someone who didn’t sell out. Anything new is maxed out, so a 60 x 100 lot is a 3000 Sq ft house. Too big for me. I'd love a 2,000 sq ft house on a 6,000 to 8,000 sq ft lot.

in the Poconos, those things were permanent fixtures. we'd hunt them but they were off the charts and in your face daily. quiet as a clam and you'd never know they were in your midst unless a dog was involved. also, they were as hinky as a groundhog and would bolt the moment upright bipeds presented themselves. good times.

Years ago we lived on the Delaware River in PA and turkeys did become a bit of an issue around our car. Apparently the State of PA released some 200K of farmed turkeys over a 20 year period. I'm not exactly sure why, but later I believe some coyotes were released...

Continue to spread corn and other feed around neighbor’s car and you should be fine.

I don't either. Turkeys are not known for their noses (like deer and coyotes) but I'm sure there are things they are not attracted to.

I used the repellent like Invisible fence etc since I have so much wildlife in my yard all the time to keep them out of my hostas and other landscaping, which works great on deer, rabbits, opossums, etc. Never seen anything like that for turkeys though. Might be one.

Yes, for sure that is the requirement or lack thereof haha. Truthfully, ofc I'd be mad but it's still a hilarious picture if I saw those freaking birds pecking away at my baby.

Anyway, hope you solve this in a humane way (which is your plan, I think).

Since I have one of those Bug-a-salt and a Turkey, I can guarantee that won't discourage them unless you get an eye shot

Something completely different than pecking turkeys but still car damaging: I had a rodent (mouse or rat) chew some wiring of a car of mine years ago and did hundreds of dollars in damage.

Since then I have had my garage made pest proof. Windows and doors sealed. Now we just get an occasional cricket or two in there, if that. And they only sneak in when a door or window is open.

Amazon- motion activated sprinkler. I've used them for stray cats coming into my backyard to get my dogs food. Never in 20 years of living at my house have we had fleas until a cat population exploded.

CMy, let me put your mind at ease: Wait until a (20, 30lb) turkey attempts to jump up on your warm hood, but doesn't QUITE make it, then starts flapping its wings and kicking it's feet (with claws) trying to get all the way up on the top of the hood.

Better now???

Doesn't Home Depot sell something like coyote urine?

If anyone thinks that I was making up those NY State restrictions above, here is a news article from a regional news site here explaining a new regulations on acceptable ammunition for hunting turkeys in NY State:
