My wife had 2 guy roommates when living in ATL. One of the guys was dating my female next door neighbor on my floor of the apartment complex (she & I went to college/partied a lot together).
I went over to my future wife's place all the time to hang out w/her roommate for like 8 months & never met her. She was always at her current bf's.
Eventually they broke up and we were out at different bars one night. Her roommate was with me & said he needed to go across the street (in Buckhead) and say hey, so I tagged along. Future wife was black-out (newly single) & didn't remember meeting me. I punched her roommate's arm on the way back across the road asking why he'd never introduced us as she was my type: In-shape, large chest, brown hair, blue eyes.

I then spent the next several weeks trying to figure out a way to hang out w/him so I'd end up at their place to hang out and get to meet her. Super Bowl Party of 2014 & that finally happened & the rest is history. Didn't help that I later found out that her roommate jokingly told her I was gay, so that hurt my chances for about a week.

He loved standing up at our wedding at telling how our relationship is all thanks to him. Love the guy, but he's a freakin knucklehead lol

Joined a school org, attended my first general meeting, and noticed her from across the room. Spoke to her only briefly but she definitely made an impression.

After we got together we compared our first impressions of each other:

I've heard a ton of jokes already. I was actually able to plant the ring as a clue in the escape room as the gem needed to break out. We were able to wrap it up with 10 minutes still left on the clock

I met my wife in college we took a speech class together. I was terrified to speak in front of people and had little interest in writing my speeches. My wife wrote my speeches and hers (she was an English Major). I got an A in the class and she got a B. lol

The female professor preferred male students over female students and everyone knew it.
