Mine would have been;

"You're vocabulary is like that of an 80 year old woman with Alzheimer's."

Belgie's would be "Your vocabulary is like... Dr Ruth, is that you?"

A bunch of those rarer words I recognized the connotation, like I could sense how they should be used in a sentence, but couldn't define well enough to make a match and ended up guessing. I like the way this test was done.

I'm under the impression that this is being graded on a curve. My score should not be this high.

29,625. I'm a little iffy on how some of the words were used.

At the very low end it says, "Your vocabulary (you *do* understand that word, right?) is like that of an orangutan (which is a large ape)."

Yeah, I hate to break it to you, but I've got more faith in 1moremod than you do.

The person whom you should be banking on would be Mpimping. That is, if your "brother" Billup was around back in Mpimping's time.

Guessing all
A = 22%
B = 23%
C = 39%
D = 42%

I think this confirms that there is weighting involved in which answers you get correct.

Also, apparently there's a crossover where 2,275 words corresponds to 22.75%.

ASBSECU E93 since you're good with numbers, wanna get me a mean and standard deviation based on the responses in this thread?

He's smarter than me, just pretends to be dumb.

I believe he was for a very short time, he said alcohol has hindered his memory cells in the hippocampus.

I'm absolutely drowning in work today, so I decided to make the most of my productivity by doing this quick list:

This was by far the best use of your time - I commend you for it and you should go home tonight feeling proud of your work here today.

For that I award you an honorary 5 additional points to make you more literate than me as I suspected you and Jtodd would beat me.

Mark was a dark horse - I had originally hoped all the scotch I recommended ages ago would have done their work on his brain cells, but either he isn't imbibing enough, or I underestimated the starting point.

I'm wondering what a perfect score would be. I might go through the test and write down all the words I'm iffy on and then take it again. That's cheating, obviously, but I already know what my score is without "peeking" at the answers. There are at least 250,000 distinct words in the English language, so I'm curious as to why someone in the top 0.16% only knows (supposedly) 30,000 of them. Are there really 220,000 words jtodd doesn't know? Sort of changes the level of respect, no?
