Think they'll break the Lakers' 1972-73 33-game consecutive win streak?

I think it's a little tough to compare the two streaks, since the NBA is diluted in comparison to 1972-1973... Back then, they had to play East teams four times over the course of the season.

Lets look at their schedule for the rest of the month:

Their next 5 games are on the road. I only see the Raptors and the Pacers giving them a minor sweat:

@ Raptors
@ Nets
@ Pacers
@ Celtics
@ Bucks

Then they come home for 5 games. Cavs should be a good game at least?

Suns
Bucks
Jazz
Cavs
Kings

Then they finish off the calendar year @ Dallas and @ Houston and game # 33 will be home against Denver. Barring any injuries, they have a chance to match 33 straight wins. Game #34 is home against the Hornets.

The record is going to be difficult. However, with the majority of bad NBA teams, it won't surprise me.

Last night I attended the Thunder/Heat game with a co-worker and even though I left after the 3rd qtr (not a fan of either team) it was good to see Westbrook do his thing. Man he can ball! Durant on the other hand got into early foul trouble and was constantly bitching and giving up on D. I was talking to some Heat fans and they all say that they don't want him when he becomes a FA next off season IIRC but trust me thats all talk. The Heat would take him in a heartbeat to play next to DinoBosh and Dragic. However, they cannot take on Durant and pay Wade's overpriced salary.

Raptors can definitely end the streak.

And keep in mind the closer they get to the record, the harder the teams will try and stop them. They can be beat by anyone on any given night, hell, the Utah Jazz played them better than anyone else has this year.
