The whole comparison is a bit absurd. It's logically equivalent of comparing a civic si to a 335i. So a BMW 335i is nothing special compared to a properly geared and tuned Honda Civic?

i dont understand some of you guys...
not all Ferrari's are the track monsters you think they are. i mean sure some of them are absolute beasts (enzo, f50) but a lot of them are just luxury machines that go fast. they dont make every car to be a superfast supercar, some are just luxury touring cars like the m6 (and we all know the m6 is no slouch by any stretch of the word).

that said, 335's are quick cars. given there no enzo or veyron, they're pretty fast. i borrowed my fathers Aston Martin DB9 this past weekend and took a few runs with my brother who owns an '07 335xi (4dr.) and his friend who has a 335i (coupe) and both cars didn't get blown away. given neither had a shot in hell of keeping up with a DB9 i was impressed, especially because i have a lowly 328xi

long story short, the 335, especially proceded, is a quick car...dont HATE

That makes no sense because everyone here is a BMW fan, almost everyone. If there's any hate I gathered from reading this thread, it's BMW people hating on Ferrari. I agree the 335i is a very nice and competent car, but without a second thought I will pick the ferrari if someone walked up to me and offered me to choose one.

...obviously, its a ferrari. and honestly if you think im saying don't hate literally, like dont bash the bimmer, then you need to learn sarcasm/get a sense of humor. obviously everyone on this forum loves the bimmers, thats the point of the forum. but people are saying that 335's lag behind ferrari's in any case, my point is that its just not true. learn to read <3

335 fanboy's get fat heads because their car is fast 0-60 in a straight line

all of a sudden 335 is as good as a ferrari

even if the 335 outperformed the italian in every performance category and it was practical, it lags far far behind in exclusivity.

don't act snobby when an Evo or STI smacks the 335 around, and then act like the 335 is as desireable as a ferrari

Had each of these go past me this week. Put my ass in it's place just by the sound they made. Especially the Porsche. Man it sounded sweeet. I have some pride, kept my ass in the gear it was in. The 599 GTB was this exact color. Beautiful. Front end has some similar lines of the Vette, IMO. I said similar.

That is exactly what all of us 335 owners are trying to say. I know on my site, and on threads here i get a lot of crap from M3 owners especially whenever i talk about beatin other m3's in races. When driven correctly, by someone who has dyno'd correctly, knows the RPM curve and pattern, a 335 can beat an M3. They are close enough to wear the quality of driver can overtake the difference in cars. Also, rolling starts versus start line change everything just because of the difference in a way a high torque turbo car versus a high HP NA car runs.

BOTTOM LINE, we all have BMW's. The rest of the world is jealous, or just doesn't know any better. Everyone deserves a pat on the back

unless you have like a jet turbine stolen from an F-15 fighter jet strapped under the car somehow out of site and undetectable. then id sooooo take the 3.

but really...i just like the Italian women more than German women so Ferrari wins (when in doubt base your opinion on the quality of women. its a win win)

beating a 360 will not be that hard with the correct mods and a bit lighter wheel setup. I have driven plenty it can happen. Mike.

I don't see anyone in this thread posting that a 335 is 'as good' as a ferrari, you just making this up? The conversation was limited to speed. Aren't you growing tired of your anti-335i fanboy crusade?

speed. period. this is a car forum. we talk about cars. even cars like the acura tsx.

for thepeople getting hot and bothered about this, please keep in mind that we are comparing a 2007 model car with a 1980's model ferrari...i mean common, lets be reasonable here. a vw golf can probably out accelerate and out handle some ferraris...just very very OLD ones. lol.
