Uncles are always OG... but that didn't make 'em old.
Guys like us usually consider uncles to be "the man". Cause they have enough power to teach and develop, without having to be a strict disciplinarian... so uncles show you the cool stuff about growing up, lol

Funny - i had the op on my ignore list
but if they start a thread, i guess you can see their first post. oh well, have a good day OP, don't let people you don't know and likely will never ever see in person affect how you feel. |

It's silly for sure. But as we age some of us perceive boundaries differently. I could remove the few ppl I have on my ignore list ... but it's just easier to not see their posts on here.

OP is the only one on my ignore list. I actually don't care if I see his posts, I'm a grown adults he literally couldn't write anything that would have any effect on me. My issue is that I reply to stuff and don't always read who posted it. So I originally did not have him on ignore, but I would start writing a reply to something only to realize half way through who I was replying to. So to avoid wasting time replying to someone who will probably get triggered I just put him on ignore. In 13 years on here had never used the ignore function before. |

It's interesting to see the different views in this thread, I for one prefer an unfiltered view of the world, like others mentioned I do not pay attention to who wrote something most of the time. I currently live in a very filtered neighborhood, which is really boring to me, so the only real opinions I get are from the net or old friends who live elsewhere.
The net is too filtered and tailored to each person, that most people are unaware of thoughts and opinions that differ from theirs because the tech companies make it that way. Some people do not want to hear anything that is not in line with their views and beliefs or that is offensive, but that kind of filtering trains your brain even more to reject other perspectives. Which is part of the reason why society is so dysfunctional. You do not have to agree or understand everyone, just need to accept and realize not everyone is like you. It's fine to block or filter people, don't let Zuck know the reason else he will use it as an excuse next time he has to testify about misusing peoples information for profit and will say it's to protect people because that's what they want.

Anyway, don't worry, I don't think about stuff like that non-stop, I'm just puzzled by that case because it just came outta nowhere, he must be schizo or something. Quote:

I`ve never put anyone on my ignore list on any forum that I`m on.
I find that if someone has a lot of people on their ignore list are usually the ones that try to push their agenda/lifestyle on others, and when they don`t agree with other peoples views/opinions they somehow feel threatened and/or superior to others, so they think that they are the smart/normal ones, when in fact they are the special ones. That`s why I (and a lot of other people) look forward to my daily dose of their bullshit, so I can get my fix . At least that`s what I`ve experienced on other forums. There's a lot of keyboard warriors online, they talk a lot thru the keyboard because they are book smart, or know how to write and read English well. But when you meet them in person it`s a completely different story. That`s why you never see them post a picture of themselves online. |
