Congratulations on the win schneid !
I dont speak whatever language that is. And I stand by the 3 points I made earlier cause no one has shown credible proof otherwise.

I'm sorry but this sounds like BS and until I see some form of proof, I dont believe it.

Our cars dont go 170? Really, A i said about 170 ok that may be generous, having driven an M3 and M6 at speeds of 190+ according to the speedo I have a pretty decent idea what 170 feels like. Yes the car does dyno ~430 rwhp 430 is not 550 crank hp. The ammount of ignorant replies to this thread is ridiculous, the rocket sceintests need to get a clue imo. If you would like to see how stupid fast the car currently is please I encourage come to dallas and see.

Boy that convinces me. Shows intelligence too. Take a passenger and video camera--you surely have one of those--get on the hwy and show us how fast. Or, post a dyno chart. Until then,

Talking Hey Schneid4323

I posted this thread over on M5board since we have an active community in Dallas.

One of the members there, Darren Dallas, knows you and your tuner and would like to have a run with you (in a safe closed course of course).

See this thread:

http://www.m5board.com/vbulletin/sho...28#post1138628

I guess this is an opportunity to you to show all the doubters on this thread. He will contact you through your tuner. Better yet, please go post on the thread on the M5board. I will ask Darren to monitor / post on this thread....

Driving at those kind of speeds on public roads, what people are going to be seeing soon is your name in the obituaries. The writeup wont be very flattering

LOL my ban was just lifted over there.. Some toolbag posted this

"I can not believe I read this entire thread. What a bunch of bullsh*t. The inconsistencies are so outrageous. He also needs to learn how to spell, I mean we all goof once in a while but damn. This guy needs to really run an M5 an get spanked. You guys out there in Dallas take care of business. This guy is just spouting off. So he has a fast car but not to out run an M5 as he says. It probably was stock but a friend ran a 335 with a Maxima 3.5 with headers and exhaust and he demolished it."

Talk about the most retarded post I've ever seen, that thread is going to be shot down faster than mine and I posted vids to back it up!!!

The only way you can test crank HP is to pull the engine out and then test it. And no way in hell is it WHP, cause if it was, he would have totally smoked the M5.

"Once we hit about 160, the M5's sweet spot, he began too pull slowly, and we shut it off at about 170 with an extra 1/4 car length between us."
I haven't heard of any company taking out the top speed limiter for the 335i to date.

I might be wrong on the latter, but that leads me to my third issue. With a speedometer only going to 160, how does he know how fast he is going after that? He cant!

Here's the thing, its not inconceivable that his car is fast. But those are some serious inconsistencies in his post that I mention above.
I got a fourth issue: unless you have been too a lot of race school, not just some weekend M-school, there is no way you know what they fuck to do with a car at 150, let alone 170. Sure, many of us have gone north of 100 with our cars, but if "some bitch cut you off" that means you were doing this on a road with other cars, that you cannot predict when they might do "something stupid" and pull in front of you because they get nervous you coming up on them fast and they are trying to get out of the way, while you are switching lanes at the same time and you plow into them at 100.

Oh, and as far as an M5 not being some "magical car" top gear and so many others have stated, they don't know why, but the Ms are faster than anyone thinks. Its why Artz 330 says he is stunned when his Mcoupe still smokes his 335i that has procede on it. Its not about the numbers, someway, somehow those Ms, especially the newer ones not only produce power but find a way between the transmission and all the other componenets to make the most of that power and get that car moving. I never was a huge believer in M being "faster" than other cars as far as drag racing, but the more i see of them and read on them, the more I realize, they just continue to amaze me beyond their numbers. I have learned not to doubt them and to learn to realize they are REALLY that much better than anthing other than something with the word Porche or Ferrari in their name.

Schneid4323, Despite what I view as your rather extraordinary efforts in this thread both yesterday and today. I think that the evidence and answers that you provide to us, require the willing suspension of disbelief.

I believe it. I think a 335i without a governor with even less mods can do 170.
