I think it is nice looking. I loved the E30 and this reminds me of it a bit. I love my G60 and I wasn’t a big G30 fan so owned Jaguar instead at that point. I don’t see me getting a car this small again, but it will be interesting to see it for real.

i wont comment on mules look, that feels a bit silly.
What I am wondering is if I can just plant some forrest instead with money and NOT buy it? Im obviously pushed to buy evs, but if I dont wanna spend the money on new car and contribute to this overconsumpion, can I just plant some trees if I generate from driving about 3-4 tonnes of CO2 per year, and say own car for 10 years? Id rather do that, than chase all this. And ofc this should count towards whatever ICE tax they levy on me for having ICE. And if this car has a range of 1000km, and goes fast, and has funky engine sounds - Im happy to consider it. It has to look awesome though.

My dad (car guy from whom I bought my first BMW from, and did 2 euro-deliveries with) died two years ago…and I really miss him.
BMW has now died (ok, slowly over the past 8 or so years)….and I mourn too. The GD Germans. Can’t fight (NATO) and now can’t build a car worth a damn. |

I'd appreciate a little more rear leg room if possible.

The back of the car looks too much like an Altima. The camo makes this look horrible. I get that’s the point, but these photos look more like the next generation of Nissan more then BMW.

Chill guys, relax!
It’s gonna look great and drive great. We have this discussion before every new BMW generation release. At the end of the day you can move to a different brand. Go for the next Tesla, VW Audi or Mercedes, or even Lexus/Acura.

I am sure it will be accepted long term & it will look better than in images I hope.
That is why I ordered a G80 & I am glad I did. I think the future is very sad. |

Thanks for sharing Jason. While we can’t influence how the cars are designed or specced for future generations it’s good info to utilize for our near term or future car purchases.

Once upon a time I used to own E30, E36, E46, F87 and G80, as I get older I am only interested in X7 lineup to haul kids. If I do consider something fun and good looking it will be older BMWs. WTF happened to the BMW design team!

When we have seen many generations of BMW design and have enjoyed them rather than being blamed recently by the forum to simply be unacceptable to change and innovation, this new fall off the cliff is real and feels real. With the design team shakeup perhaps we will see some good elements and direction restored. Automotive industry in general seems to be lost and looking for answers as to what’s next due to weak EV sales, more global competition, and regulations. We will see fair amount of confusion and hopefully more and more drivetrain options will continue to exist.

Jeez it’s almost like BMW makes a sedan that has more legroom.
People asking for more space in cars in customer surveys, instead of just buying a bigger model is one of the main reasons cars are so bloated rn. The number one complaint people had about the original BMW Mini was that it was too small. Instead of calling their customers idiots for buying a car called “Mini” and complaining about it being small, they listen, and that is how we are at where we are today. |
