Same issue, noticeably slower than all my other forums, bigger or smaller. Weird.

flgfish is on the money. This is almost certainly database-related.
*Log your (slow) queries. *Make sure your config is on-point. *Make sure your hardware makes sense for the job (sufficient RAM, using SSDs, etc). *InnoDB or MyISAM? (You probably want InnoDB for this use case - check your slow queries log.) *Cache intelligently. *Horizontal scaling can be tricky with MySQL and "unsophisticated" codebases like the old-school VB 3.x. Consider migrating to "semi-managed" services like Amazon's AWS RDB. I'd love to help. |

does seem for the last few days as though it's totally useless between 700am and 200pm (Right Coast), then gradually improves. if this is maintenance happening than the polite thing might be to make an announcement so we don't waste our time trying to make it work. |

It's kind of weird too since they do maintenance nearly nightly, and still this is the slowest forum that I am on.

This site’s performance is horrible. Unaccepatable.
I managed storage/virtual server infrastructure for a living. Where is the site hosted? AWS? It needs a lot of work. Hire a consultant to fix/optimize the database instance.

Seeing it also, after the very extended 60 minutes of maintenance that seemed to last half the day or more, it is barely usable now.

At least for me, very slow on iOS working better on my Samsung G9. Maybe something to do with recent apple update?

Bimmerpost app
Anyone else been having issues with the app lately? It's become almost impossible to use. Constantly can't find connection and occasionally crashes. Very frustrating as this is my primary way of interacting with the forum.

Same results on my end. Takes forever to connect to various parts of the forum. Got a message last night that maintenance was taking place. But still having the same issues this morning.

Yeah it's getting better, but still takes some time to load from a blank web page, also navigation within the forum still has a notable delay. Overall it seems faster than before but still significantly slower than other forums I frequent.
