This not a $600K car… this is $200K car. BMW is not yet on the same level of as Porsche or Aston Martin. Porsche can charge almost $1 million for the 918 Spyder because it's a true HyperCar. Timeless design. I think Bmw really needs to understand what they're doing! And who they're catering to and if they're catering to young generation of people who don't know any better, than people who are non-purist will buy this just because of the badge.

Two things are happening with Bmw in the marketplace right now.

Board members have become greedy and their share holders have become greedy and now they are selling and marketing purely based on their badge and the brand BMW.


They are losing money due to electrification requirements and therefore have become desperate and now we're trying to make billions of dollars to transition their lineup to electrification.

I do not believe this is an M4 converter it's supposedly handbuilt the chassis may be shared.
but it does not justify the money that they are asking, specially considering what you can buy for a lot less.

Isn't the price level a moot point anyway?
I think they are all sold out already. Proves they did not charge too much…

It's not bad, but it looks like they tasked the engineers with making it look like the Homage with only using the M4 chassis.

A 600hp manual S58 they said? I'm guessing they're using a new clutch since the base model "can't handle 500"

Insiders hinted in the same thread mbanck quoted above that few were bought by us market owners... if you didn't get an invitation for 1/50 you were never getting one

Irrelevant to anyone with the dough and clout to buy one, they'd sit in storage sealed until they are ready to resell, likely when BMW announces the next M3/M4 will be fully EV.

I think we'll get a hybrid first. An EV would alienate too many buyers.

Ok so I think they are camouflaging a LOT of details here. Look at the circled area and compare to the concept. Something is going on here.

I also think they are hiding the entire shape of the actual headlights—as well as the same lower curve line that was on the concept (see 2nd area I circled closer to the bottom)

I hate this grill. The M3/M4 one is way better. This looks like a pig nose. The good parts of this concept are its headlights (which are faded away in trade for M3/M4), and the rare shape which is muted but still present. The MT in it is also cool

Disappointing and stupid.

Instead of spending time and resources on this nonsense that nobody can afford, spend 1/4th the effort on making another affordable 1 series M car that most would find more engaging and fun.
