fwd for the I4 and V6, AWD available with the V6, but at that point you're north of $40k already.

Seeing as how I wouldn't give two shits about all out performance from my DD anymore, I think the FWD 4-cyl would do just fine. It's like a $13k step up to the AWD model.

That being said, I'd feel better with AWD during the winters around here, but FWD with snows is still more than capable.

Doesn't bother me. 95-98% of the driving I do, I couldn't give two shits about which wheels are driving the car or whether or not I have more than 120HP under the hood. The CC meets and exceeds that DD checklist, with a nice comfortable interior as well. It kinda surprised me. I just wonder if it has all the weird and inexcusable electrical issues my friends' old VW's (mid 90s to early noughties) had.

Plus, no knock against RWD at all, but FWD cars are easier to handle in the snow, even though I do know that RWD with snows is perfectly fine too.

Fwd may be counterintuitive from a performance standpoint, but as I've grown up, I've realized there are other factors in making an experience in a car satisfactory. Or maybe I'm just getting old?

no i agree with you to an extent.

I have a civic as a DD and it serves its purpose. I just think a car that large and heavy should not have an i4 or fwd.

maybe these just dont want to compete with audi. who knows.

^ Don't hold me to it w/o some checking but it was Boardwalk VW/Porsche, not the same locations.

Boardwalk VW radio ad said "all CC's 6K off". Told them, family member, about it and have not heard back though.

Dallas, TX.

Wow that's crazy. I think the base model starts at around 28 and with options mid 30s.... 6k off that would be crazy.

Yeah it is a good deal IMO. Unless it is some ol' bait and switch maneuver.

I just hung up with my bud from London and he is calling. His wife, gf, sister, whatever he calls the girl that lives with him may want one for that number.

That is what I told him. "Around 30K for a decent one and get down to mid/low 20's"

Pretty strong if for real.

If I can somehow cheat fate I will end up in an E92 M3 next. More likely I am looking at a 335i coupe or an A5 S-line...

Garage List
I am considering a CC also, provided I get my own place. Do they still have 0 down/ around 400 a month lease?

Seems like a lot of us are looking at the CC...How old are you guys?...I'm 26

My CC will be a FWD 2.0T with a Giac tune (I have to resist slapping a BT kit..been there done that with my 1.8T they're never right).
-Coilovers+Wheels

My 1er has been for sale for a while if it doesn't move I'll trade it in next month for a CC. Don't worry guys I'll still be in the family(will get an older E46 M3 01-02). I just need a slower bigger DD...The 1er is just too fast for a DD. They just changed the laws over here....They can impound your car easily, speeding cameras, licence can get suspended easily. I've been driving for 2 years like I have an egg under my pedal. I just feel that I'm wasting the car.

Other reason being is that........

Being honest I miss my VW-Audi...so easy to work on and diagnose. VAG-COM makes everything easier. There are so many aftermarket parts.
Audi-Vw dealers around here are very mod friendly while....Bmw dealers are a bunch of pricks...only one is cool around here. To service my 1er I found a local shop ran by a guy with a very germanic accent . The kind of shop with an old Bosch sign in front, 10-20 part cars in the yard(mostly e30,e34,e36 rust buckets) , no receptionist(well guys take turns). The guy is a bimmer specialist since 1974. I'd rather take an older out of warranty bimmer there (pay 1/3 of the cost for labor/parts)then walk in these snobbish bmw dealership around here sipping on espresso's and eating muffins.
