With Ricciardo in the middle of the huddled crowd there it's not surprising everyone's roaring with laughter.

Luckless Sainz may be treading water in this one just to finish in some points.

He might choke again, the pressure for him to prove himself must be astronomical.

Then why don't you make a prediction?

I think the ferrari's might be faster in the warm Miami weather, and Sainz's bad luck has to run out sometimes...
But it's all a prediction

Even if he doesn't DNF I don't think he will be able to out perform Perez, the rb18 is really suited to his driving.

RIP Ayrton Senna
(1-5-1994)
I'm not sure about that ....

1-Seen the long straight at the new Miami track , and the the higher RB18 topspeed .

2-At Imola Red Bull came with 'very impressive updates and that turned out very well .

3-We've seen that the RB18 can manage the tyres so much better , by the now lighter car (- 6KG)
The balance and the handling in the slow turns improved as well..

4-And of course we are having number 1 !

That's why my prediction is a Red Bull P1/P2
BTW , Binotto said : Sainz can not perform under pressure ..
So , Charlie has to clear it alone in the race , just like in the first 4 races .

Yeah . RIP Senna

I feel like me saying "I told you so" in pre-season testing is an understatement.

Lol @ thinking Benz will outengineer the most dominant team of all time and Adrian Newey without starting development years before previous regulations set.

Complicated but in laymans terms RB have neutralised the air flow to their advantage which involves the rear suspension also and works best at high speed.

So your prediction is:

1. LEC
2. VER
3. PER
4. SAI
5. ALO

Is that right? Including Alonso?

Do you have a top 5 prediction?
For sure the RB upgrades helped a lot. But I'm not convinced that they work equally good in warmer weather.
And I can't imagine Ferrari not coming with updates (I think the updates planned for Barcelona will largely be in place for this race)
It's true we've seen drivers errors from SAI under pressure, but we've also seen that from LEC last race
(even PER made a little mistake that race; only Max' race was flawless I think)

In the weather forecast I saw that it might even rain on sunday.
If it rains, my prediction is that Max will win. If it's dry: LEC.

But for sure it's going to be interesting and a new view on what car is fastest now. Just as Imola was an eye opener.
This is again an awesome season, just like last year.

I can get behind this prediction... and then when the RBR cars run out of fuel the red cars will be one and two, and ALO will be on the podium. That would make me really happy.

Sure I have a top 5-6...
Based from what we witnessed at Imola :

P1 - MAX
P2 - Checo
P3 - Charlie
P4 - Sainz (if he can keep his wheels on track)
P5 - Russell or Bottas
P6 - Kmag (hopefully)

Rain in Miami means just a few drops to make it dust free...

You can see the difference in the positional relationship between the rear axle line and the gearbox.

Alpha R, Red Bull and AT have a forward tilt angle on the drive shaft in front of the rear axle line.

Major highway

Track is located near and under a major highway.

Interesting this passed FIA safety protocols.

Three roads passing over the track so being blunt I guess there is a small element of risk with a vehicle falling off the road onto the track with P,Q and race progressing.

But access with a trauma helicopter is not so good in that area.
But they'll obviously have a centralized spot for that.

I think maybe a concern is people stopping in the road looking at the F1 cars (and the risk that comes with that)

Hopefully it will be patrolled by police and heavy fines in place for stopping on the highway link roads for no reason.
