Sainz deserves major respect for toughing out a appendicitis attack, strapped into a Formula One car.

Oliver Bearman impressed, too bad certain parties are set on limiting the number of teams as some more open seats for these young guns would make for some great racing.

Missed the news etc for a few days, so just heard Bearman is replacing Sainz.
Interesting development, I'm keen to see what he can do as a rookie
I hope he doesn't crash, a plunge in the deep and immediately on the most dangerous track on the calender

I'm the chairman of the "I Hate Street Circuits Club". That said the drivers express their enjoyment for this track, at least till they hit the wall. This would be a fantastic layout if not for the walls.

I think it gives the feeling of a rollercoaster ride.
I don't mind street circuits (ok, it's getting a bit crazy now), but I think the main aspect of a street circuit should be that it's right in the heart of the city, so that you get to see the cars racing through the city next to it's landmarks.
So I like Baku, Monaco and even Vegas (although I had hoped for more birds eye view shots), but like what we're getting with Madrid and similar, basically racing on an industrial state....no.
Or Miami....where they partly simulate a street circuit...bleh.

Spa francorchamps is fantastic, best track on the calender.
I still can't believe that every year we hear that it might get scrapped of the calender...
Every time they get a contract of 1 or 2 years, where other less interesting tracks get contracts for 10 years....It's all about the money, not the racing alas...
