I'll wait for the new designs to start rolling out because yes, they can get worse if the last 3-4 years aren't a clue enough... but I am hoping this signals change for the beaver... better! (cough) I meant better.

You think the Polestar 1,2 and 3 are polarizing?

The 1 and 2 in particular look basically exactly like the modern Volvo lineup which is far from polarizing. Also, I find it hard to believe the Polestar Precept/5 is polarizing.

I’d agree the no-back-window of the P4 is polarizing, but thats a small subset of their design language.

These last few years of designs have been hideous. The G80 M Cars were easily BMWs worst looking M cars of all time- from any angle. Hoping there’s a big change in the next gen. Cleaner styling, less busy panels and a return to form with small kidney grills and an overall shape that flows is what’s needed.

The HVAC vents should have moved to electronic control since they went all in on screen only controls, but instead they used these cheap rubber little nubs that you can barely see or tell what they’re doing to the vents. Just give me a nice vent design with obvious baffles to move around or do what Tesla did that works well and make it controllable on the display so I can actually get the air to blow where I need. The new 5er is butt ugly. It doesn’t even look like a BMW. The XM, yikes. They’ve also got to stop cheapening the cars by removing curve following headlights. Our i7 had an MSRP of nearly $140K but it has cheaper and much worse headlights than what my $66K M440i GC had.

No he isn’t, he moves to make more expensive mistakes in Rolls Royce. Or maybe he is just handicapped by regulations which apply less to that segment. They won’t fire higher management, it’s not good for the brand and there are labor laws of Europe which are way too strict.

Bring us a new X3 and a 5er design in the LCI, with radical changes.

Hmmm….what’s going to happen to Anders Warming (current head of design for RR, previously MINI, more). I always saw him as Adrian’s replacement for overall head of design, but he’s not mentioned here. Guess we’ll find out soon.
