I would probably buy the BMW that sold in the $30k - $40k price range that was built in place of the 3 series. Since the 3 series makes up like 60% of all BMW sales, they would have to have something in this market segment. Whatever that was is probably what I would have bought.

My wife offered me a deal...move from New Jersey and I could get the 645 (my favorite car). But I like living where I live and ended up getting the 3 series. So it would have been the 6 series

ok i looked at an sti and i love it. the seats fit me perfect and i can see great. the interior is sporty but not cheap feeling. not to mention it would kick my car's ass on or off the road. that's what i'd get if it weren't for the e90.
