1 game, 1 pitcher. Pressure is on Cueto and Samardzija. We all knew what Bumgardner could do. Doubt you'll win more than 2 games.

Pretty bitter for a guy who's location says "SF." I will take our chances with our pitching staff, experience, and THE BEST MANAGER IN BASEBALL.

Right? Considering what the Giants have done in the past four years I would not write them off at all. Maybe they squeaked in and are at the bottom of post season teams, but being hot at the right time and confident is a big factor.

Red Sox starters crapped the mound in both games. Now they're depending on a pitcher they pulled from the rotation because of his inconsistency to save them from elimination.
Lester and Cueto both pitched gems, but Cueto blinked first. This is what post-season pitching is supposed to be. Stellar game by both teams.

Problem is there's no guarantee Kershaw will play his A game at home in game 4. Nats needs to win next 2. It's promising bc the meat of the lineup is hitting

Jays have now won 6 straight games if you count the last 2 of the season against Boston. *If* the Sox come back against Cleveland, they'll regret not having eliminated the Jays at the end of the regular season when they had the chance. If the Sox lose to Cleveland, the Jays will sweep the Indians like dirt on a tile floor.

Great game for the Nationals today. The offense is finally working for once (in the postseason)

What is this rain thing, and why do they keep cancelling games???? There was a hurricane and teams in Miami still played football.

I am glad they kept the remaining games on schedule. It shouldn't affect how the rotation works. Otherwise, you'll get game 1 starters in game 3.

CUBS!
Quote:
He took my Dad and Uncle to their first game- Wrigley Field. My Dad, severely wounded in WWII, went AWOL from Grand Rapids MI. Army hospital to watch the Cubs play the Tigers in 1945 WS. Some of the guys he went with never went back to the hospital! My first game... Wrigley Field, 8 yrs old. Double header, Cubs vs. Dodgers. Drysdale and Koufax just blew the Cubbies out, both games. I will never forget walking through that tunnel under a cloudless sky and BOOM there was the perfect lawn, the perfect ivy.... If there is a god, Cubs win this World Series and the world will indeed explode!

If the Cubs win, I won't really worry about who wins in November.
I just missed the Dodgers at Wrigley when I went a few years back. Have never had more fun at a game, and it was reasonably priced. $16 for a beer at Dodger stadium. . . |
