Bloody hell. USD$999 ... which should equate to less than AUD$1300.

However the article I read this morning was talking over AUD$1800.
That is some significant shipping costs!

Maybe they could save on shipping costs by just bring a few over at a time in the luggage of mainland Chinese as they come over to buy our realestate then leave again.

No sir. But it can sometimes be hard to differentiate Apple fanboys from trolls due to their shared ignorance and insistence that they are right.

You guys having a problem with foreign investors? You know, it seems to me that Australia has a natural solution to this problem, unique to you guys, that many other countries don't have. I wonder why you haven't used it.

I mean, realistically, why doesn't your government pass a law that says all property owned must be occupied by the owner for at least 1/4 of the year. Seems to me that would be all the time required to kill off all the owners due to their own ignorance given that it seems like 85% of anything that crawls, swims, etc over there is capable of killing a human...

Was sort of disappointed. Seemed like nothing I haven't seen before. The iPhone edgeless screen doesn't even look that edgeless. It tapers off and if you look at from end of screen to end phone side is a large gap. S8 looks to be a better edgeless screen. Also wonder to myself who uses these iwatches still? I alot myself 200 a year for phones so not like I'm a candidate for either. More of prime day $169 g5 plus guy.

There isn't anything really wow factor on the horizon besides Samsung attempting to come out with a foldable Amoled phone. Just following one Apple Blog on twitter and you can know what the new iPhone will look like, cost, and features 6 months before Apple announces it. The only thing that wasn't solid from the rumors was its release date. Though that release date does validate that supply for the X is very very limited because of production delays.

Next year the Galaxy S9 or Note 9 will have fingerprint authentication integrated into the screen and the next iPhone will follow suit. Apple and Samsung couldn't get their respective tech done in time.

Innovation in the smartphone world is at a crawl now.

Wrong. Not like this. Not an iris scanner. This is 30,000 data points. Never like this in a phone. It's doing 3D modeling in real time.

FaceID will replace TouchID, probably permanently if all goes well. Think of the iPhone X as a test.

Why are people surprised. The Note 8 starts at $929 and I'd argue not even as good.

Did you see in the keynote where his face didn't work the first time?

All joking aside, it is definitely a welcomed feature. My only concern as a IT security professional is that I can pick up someones phone, and as long as they are looking at it (distance TBD), it will unlock.

If you are unable to be critical of a single product from an entire company, then I'm going to presume you're blindly following a brand.

Did you actually take time to understand what happened? The issue was caused by some idiot (who definitely got fired) who didn't do their job. They forgot that just like TouchID, that a passcode is required 1 time on first boot to enable TouchID. That iPhone was restarted and FaceID was never enabled. Said so right on the phone.

Stupid mistake, but it was a mistake by a person...not a problem with the technology.

I just confirmed this with my iPad Pro...TouchID doesn't work on a fresh restart.

I've bought 2 Androids, and thought they were both shit - hated them. Every iPhone I've had has worked well. What's your point?
