I actually go to that forum quite a bit. As a member there I see many problems. I'm glad someone pointed out the thread from E46F. Seeing that thread opened my eyes on that forum even more. I got to agree with some of you, that some of the mods over there at M3F are bunch of douche bags. Some of the mods are rude to new members and misuse their authority as a mod. They think just because they are a mod they are better then everyone. The mods over there do such a poor job monitoring the forum, really makes me wonder how they became a mod in the first place. Countless of members violates the rules the mods don't do anything about because they play favoritism. At the end I'm glad I came across that thread on E46F as well it lead me to this forum. NO, I did not just create a new user just to bash them. I'm a strong believer in if your not doing anything wrong, people not going to talk badly behind your back. I just hope to frequent here more then M3F from now on.

I am an M3forum member and love the forum, and no i am not a moderator.

Who cares about how a forum runs their businesses its their own "business" or "forum." Stop complaining and move on.

I have no quarrels with this forum or any forum.

Please refrain from distasteful comments purely out of ignorance about others without actual facts. Its really sad to see communities fight when we are all in it for the same thing. cars.

and seeing some of u guys make threats. you know this is a public forum? and anything u say can be held against u? just to let u guys know ahead of time.

M3F has its ups and downs but signing up as a member u agreed to follow the rules. I learned a lot and made a lot of friends. I have no regrets. I did have some occasional run ins with the law but that was on my own fault.

Mods are not perfect on any forum, they are just human; I've seen bad decisions here, M3F, E46F, and 6speed.

Personally I very much like M3f, as I do E90P. People are always looking for a way to vent but from what I have read and know about m3f all allegation are grossly exaggerated and very one sided.

Thought I would add my peice.

The reason why I dont like that forum even though I am a member there is, the moderators don't really care about anything or anyone, I have seen first hand members make fun of and argue with another member because he has no education on M3's and how they work. Instead of moderators and other members helping out with information, they just sit back point their finger and laugh unitl that member flips out and says somthing stupid and then they are banned.

How does that work? How are other members going to achieve anything like that?

And I can tell moderators have their favorites on that forum. Their friends can say whatever and only get warnings and maybe nothing at all, but everyone else gets banned.

Over there, they say e46.com is a childish place and nothing gets done there. But honestly it's m3forum where its childish and immature, I don't understand how anyone can get any real good information about cars until they are banned.

Thats just me, thas what I think.

I know on M3f there is a strict policy of not allowing cross forum bashing or disputes. I know the admin and mods here are good people and wish they would follow suit by closing and deleting this and cross forum thread.

I hope they don't, I hope the mods here don't delete this thread. And I want the members here to stop talking smack about m3fourm because you guys don't really know whats going on and you guys are just jumping on the bandwagon.

Keep this thread from getting closed, just post respectful posts.

response from the M3 mods:

Quote:
The joke is that there is nothing here in this thread of merit to respond too. A couple of years ago HPF began non-sponsored promotion on our site which we do not and did not permit. We are a non-profit BMW M3 enthusiast's website and limit the number of sponsors of our site only to that necessary to cover operating costs. Later when HPF applied for sponsorship they were refused because we had no free slot. HPF continued to attempt non-sponsored promotion in violation of our rules which we removed. Consequently, when HPF tried to offer money to our staff to induce them to promote HPF sponsorship, or at least to look the other way, we were outraged and permanently banned HPF, unanimously deciding never to accept them as sponsors. Since that time we simply rebuff, in one form or the other, any attempt HPF or its agents make to promote on our site. Anything to the contrary and accusations of corruption are libelous inventions of those who post it and say nothing of the staff, sponsors and mature members of M3Forums.

The staff of M3Forum enjoy hospitable and respectful relations with the staff of E46Fanatics and intend to keep it that way, and in that sense will not participate in any cross forum conflicts or nonsense.

Best regards and Season's Greetings

No, that's precisely the way it is. it's just that the simple truth isn't as much fun as the BS for some people.

Wow ... well I am for one neither a moderator as well or a friend of the moderator; but it seems like you guys are jumping to the guns quickly no? There are two sides to the story, and I am not choosing either side.

I am just saying how come everyone on here is so quick to jump to what HPF is saying?

Also for the record E46F is sub-par when compared to M3F no matter how you slice it. I started out on E46, and am glad I found M3F. People on here are calling people on the M3F elitist .. which I do not see. I do see however, the E46F tends to have more immature adults (kids) on there than M3F.

Oh, and I am also really surprised when someone mentioned that JerryM did very helpful things (and compared him to daytonaviolet)
