Looks like an M240i what with the Cerium details.
It's on an photoshoot in Spain hence the minor disguise at each end.
There could be more if the civilian photographer was brave enough to infiltrate?
I like the Thundernight. It will really make this car standout.
Although I hope that Acidic Orange (similar in tone to Kyalami Orange but more sparklely makes it to the M2.

It's Z4 underpinnings give it that long bonnet short deck but is typical of a BMW Coupe. The lines look more natural tone definition rather than pencilled in for forced visual drama. It's meant to evoke the E30 M3 or indeed the E9 series of coupes. Purposeful Definition with a historic Motorsport kinship.

thank goodness there is a hofmiester kink that does it for me, and the kidneys arent just a unshaped oval, and the headlights do not look as stubby bulby as last years leak shots appeared to be, like a honda del sol back in the day, which was fine for a del sol dont get me wrong

The character line above the door handle will likely show better in other lighting conditions/angles.

I do agree that, from this angle, it gives off "2000 Honda Civic shaved body moldings" vibes.

I think a meaningful miss of the current crop of designs is the fact that the strong front-to-back line either no longer exists or doesn't intersect with the door handles anymore.

This is the MPerformance model. Which does not allow it full M status.
I am sure the M2 will bring a new colour dedicated to a particular racing track.

Comparing the well commented pics from last year that envoked alot of chatter... the headlights were maybe ballooned due to the wide eye lens of the photo?

The recent shots gave me a overall different reaction to them.

That new color looks amazing. As a matter of fact, I'm really liking a lot of these new BMW colors. Finally more choices that a bunch of greys and black. The more greens, blues and purples, the better.

There's no other (realistic) car I'm more interested than this G42/G87. Can't wait

Same! I’m actually excited for the regular 2er models too this time. I’m planning to wait for G87 but who knows as a real world ideal daily for the wife mainly, a nice M240i with beefy arches could well suffice.....
