Sounds like you need to keep the text pretty casual and not like you're hitting on her. How did the conversation go the other day? Can you follow up with "Hey - if you have any further questions or want to chat about your career any time let me know" type thing - just re-open the dialog, and see if she responds?

Keep in mind though, that I am completely useless with women and have no success, so I wouldn't ever take my advice

Ball might be in my court, but the play is really about chilling and going with the flow. I don't feel now is the time to try to force any moves.

Absolutely! I for one am always about letting things happen organically. However, your intentions need to be clear especially if she's young.

You said she's 26, right?

The age difference could also be making her feel reluctant if she's never been with someone older. Just a thought, not trying to discourage you, but rather give you the perspective of someone closer to her age.

she is like a critter; any sudden movements and off she goes... god that's a tiring prospect. Man I really hope she is genuine, but something tells me that she just might be too lukewarm for anything intense, or might be outright just entertaining herself. I am rooting for you though!

Also, isn't she in her mid-20s? Given the context of your age, these stringing-along games she have been playing makes me extremely wary of her.

Text her...LOL. She initiated first contact.

I remember when my wife and I went on our first date. By that point, I had been through every almost single woman in mine and all the surrounding towns that I had a "calloused" attitude about it all.

I have had dates where I drop the woman off...and get a text or call 30 minutes later. I'm thinking why are you calling, we just seen each other.


Well back to my wife....we went out and that was it. Honestly I got caught up in work and I didn't get back to her. I was always so used to them blowing my phone up. So about 4-5 days later...I call her and ask what's going on..I haven't heard from you.

She straight out told me that she had figured if I wanted to talk...I would call her and not the other way around. That piqued my interest even more.

Most women I dated were "clingy".....and I can't stand that. So that aspect of her was a big plus.
