Thoughts on absolute vs 1/3 cowitness? I've got a Colt 6920 that I want to put an EoTech on but leaning towards absolute cowitness with rear BUIS.
Also, anyone have experience with Australian SS109 surplus? I want to run heavier ammo through the 1:7 barrel and I've only purchased Lake City M855 in bulk when I lived in Florida. |

Strike Industries makes some nice stuff - and good company to deal with. I have a lot of their stuff.
How many use optics on their EDC? I'd thinking of trying it and wondered how much of a difference I would feel with the optic. Digging in, etc. I'm old and my eyes are shit and I'd like something I could use without without glasses and with either of my RX (close/far). The sights on my P365 SAS are better than anything I have used before, but a dot would be even better. What are you horror stories before I drop $700 to try.

Optics work wonders. Our range team has found shooting accuracy has improved substantially now that we allow optics on our duty weapons and off-duty weapons. I don't have an optic on any of my pistols, but I may consider it down the line. All of my partners with optics on their Glocks, Staccato's, S&W's, etc. love them. |

Finally got the suppressor and optics mount for the MP5. Would like to go to range today and zero in the optic but it isn't to be.

My eyes are shit. At any time of the day I might be no glasses, reading RX glasses or Distance RX glasses. I want to be able to shoot well in any condition. At least a milk jug at 25 decent anyway. I'm prob 80% of that without glasses with the SAS sights - which is pretty good, but I think a dot would get me to 100%. Just wonder how they would work with appendix carry. I think I'm gonna try a P365X Romeo when/if I find one in stock. I can always sell it.....

I used a Veracarry Zerobulk Pro - I have fallen in love with it and would used it for the opticed version too. I think it'll be fine.

There's that newish indoor range by San Tan mall and they don't mind full-auto as long they get some trigger time as well + you don't have to use their ammo. Shooting in A/C this time of year is a bonus. |

Will try to goshooting tomorrow. Gonna go site in the red dot on the MP5, shoot a bit of the M16 and then work on shooting my defense weapons. Sadly I don't shoot enough and know I will not be very good with the handguns. I try to compensate for precision with volume. |

I managed to secure an upper but now it opens a new dilemma for me. The AR Maglock that I intend to use interferes with the upper so now I either have to go with the Juggernaut Lock and lose the bolt catch or go featureless.

The top of the AR Mag lock hits this part of the upper. When it does, it rotates the arm and causes the tongue that's supposed to slip between the upper and lower to hit the lower. Yeah I had the iking pin put on but I took it off. The mag release works when the upper is lifted away but when you shut the upper down, that part in red pushes the the top of the mag lock down.
