on one hand i appreciate the honesty but on the other im super lost with the handshake. did she think this was a career fair? should i have added her on linkedin?

No...this was when we were dating. This month marks 12 years of marriage for us.

What I mean was my wife was independent and already established. She put herself through college, had her own house, and just overly cautious.

Alcohol lowers standards. I don't feel that this needs to be elaborated any further. Making out without alcohol is something left to married couples and people of the porn industry.

If a man is truly a master of his craft, alcohol isn't needed. Drinks are nice to have for a meet and greet, but are not required to accomplish said mission. There are only 4 days out of the month that I don't have sex; when the girlfriends Aunt Flo(w) visits, neither of us drink regularly. In fact, the last time either of us had a drink was NYE.

Was thinking this as well. If so, it means she is most likely not a gold digger and looking for something genuine. Could potentially be a really good thing for OP.

It could also be a front... so have to be careful.

Yeah - I have definitely considered that. I wonder if she thinks I see her a a play toy that will be fun for a while but nothing worth keeping. This is why I'm trying to just play it cool, give her space, but still spend time together. Let her see that I'm genuine. The Lambo pants is part of what made me really like her - that she had enough respect to go buy those to protect my cars not even knowing how often she'd sit in them. I'd like her butt to be in them more often than not, but she didn't know that.

I agree - to me that was a really attractive trait to buy clothes purely to protect my cars that she knows I love, but she loves them too - she's so excited to work on them. Just loves cars.

And I don't think she's a gold digger, or she wouldn't put me through this shit - she'd just put out and try to "secure me"

As for doing the dirty, it will happen when it happens. Can't rush this one.
