Kids played hockey forever lol, and long time ago a favorite Capitals player (we had season tickets, forever lol) was Richard Zednik, he was #44.

Oh no it was definitely still a floppy moment back then. Pushing the limits of a 386/20mhz and dialing into AOL on a 2400 baud modem to download mods.

Doom 2 finally made me demand my parents the upgrade happen to the 486. #spoiledkid

Pretty simple. Japanese singer's name (Merami(pop), or めらみぽっぷ) + fan. Incredible treble, top-notch skill, good range, very wide variety, and quite prolific (over 1,250 songs across 500+ releases). Was signed to a label for some years, but is mostly active in non-commercial, self-published works. Some samples:

And of course, she has real talent. Live recording here. She was still improving at this point, too (10 years ago). Notably better live renditions compared to some of the album versions of earlier songs.

Wampus. If we simply wanted to change the difficulty level, we had to recompile from tape, generally 5-7 hours. Like off a cassette tape. Spell check wasn't even quite sure how to spell cassette

Ha wow Cyrix. That's a word I haven't heard in 15 years. We got a top of the line 486 DX4 100 but it was right when the Pentium came out and was basically obsolete as soon as I got it but I got into plenty of trouble with that computer. I got caught brute forcing aol accounts over dial up and since there were no real laws at the time my parents just screamed at me after the county DA called the house and threatened to take my computer away. That didn't last very long and I somehow wound up with an upgrade to a Pentium 3 with a first gen cable modem out of the whole situation 😂

oh god! this was back in '98 when I started using the internet... growing up in a coastal town in Puerto Rico, I was into surfing and one video impacted me a whole lot... I still remember the name... Wave Rebel!
Naturally, once I started playing bass in 98-99 I switched it from Wave Rebel to Bass Rebel until it finally became bassrebel...
