Homemade Dinner; Pasta Pomodoro topped with Bacon Bit and Red Pepper Flakes and Parmesan Cheese. Olive Bread to soak up the Sauce. Chianti to keep the Artery open.

Croatian salad
Parsley Chickpeas Onion Tomato Almonds Cantaloupe Feta (sir cheese is authentic, I have no access to sir) EVOO Fresh lemon juice Kalamata olives Pepperoncini (optional) Salt and pepper and cumin Grilled pita I’m interested to hear from any Croatian site members whether this can pass for Croatian cuisine. I first had a salad similar to this in the old town of Korčula. |

I cooked a nice dinner of Filets, baked potatoes, fresh green beans, sautéed mushrooms, shrimp cocktail and a cake (today is also my wife's birthday) for the wife, Mother-in-law and step-dad.

Something I haven't done in ages: buying a take-out pizza.
A new pizzeria just opened in a nearby village by a young immigrant family. They must have been overwhelmed by the response. The parking lot was full. They also do Donairs, wings, subs etc... And I'm planning on giving them a lot of business. They are not licensed yet but have a nice dining area. I ordered a large veggie so I'll have some left overs for breakfast and lunch.  |
