Decent heading offshore, but soon thunderstorms and associated squalls blew in that made for rough conditions, saw great birds though (including new for Humboldt, a Least Storm Petrel), and all got cherry looks at Brown Booby, Arctic Tern, South Polar Skua, albatross, shearwaters many more including King Eider.

Perfect! Low 50s and low 70s today, tomorrow and Thursday until Friday and this weekend when it's slated to be in the low 90s for a solid week! Booooooooooooo
Come on Fall...can't be teasing me like this!! Atleast tomorrow's weather for the last golf league night is going to be amazing!!

A week-plus of slightly below average temperatures. 70s in the day and lower 50s at night. It feels a bit silly to be wearing a sweater in August.

Our forecast here for the next few days is for highs in the low 70's F, and lows dipping into the upper 40's F. AC off, windows open, OCD psycho dog sniffing through the window screen.....

Now is when the weather really starts to work on me. Mornings when I head to work it's low 60's, then on my way home it's a 100 something. Yesterday it was 106.

Today's high was 75F, and the forecast low should be around 50F again tonight. AC is still off, and windows open.
This is the last day of the northeast's September preview. We will be back to seasonable August mid-80's F highs for the weekend.....

Our overnight low in upstate NY was 52F. A real shocker is that I just checked my remote weather station at our SC tree farm, and the overnight low down yonder was 54F!
The NYC TV news talking heads pointed at the heat dome clobbering Texas and the Great Plains, noting that NYC's forecast for today was the best weather in the country....

What I get a kick out of is the local talking heads sharing that tomorrow is going to be 92°, and therefore we must think about this, worry about that, and, oh, by the way...yada-yada-yada. Note: 92° in mid-August isn't news here.

The NYC talking heads were saying that NYC Central Park has not seen a 90F day so far in the entire month of August.
FWIW, the average mid-August high for Central Park is 85F. Gotta love la nina.....
