Brake more ? He would have been completely locked up ...

Lec indeed have a hand but part of that blame goes to Per.

Max screwed himself too. Had he stayed in the brake he may have gotten away with just a front wing. But as always his hot head and heavy foot failed him.

What an extraordinary race.

Couldn't be happier for PER. Gutted for RUS.

Can't recall a time more conflicted about a race conclusion.

Time for 2 seat changes at the front of the grid.

This. Lewis provides options to the team based on raw speed, race pace, race craft, race strategy and tire performance.

Many drivers have one or two of these attributes.

Only 7ewis has all of them. This is why he is the GOAT.

Well Done, Perez!!!

Please tell me you’re not a lawyer 😂 resting your case like this won’t make you a living.
What racecraft will get him out of a puncture? Or out of a put crew mess up?
He has a commanding lead just like Hamilton. He raced really well in traffic. The only thing is that he didn’tdeny a pitstop like Hamilton would’ve done. That’s all!

And remember who was in second place? The guy racing the same car for a whole season.

What happened today proved how much the car’s performance affects the grid standings. If it was spec racing you’ll see Hamilton on the podium less frequently (along with other podium holders).

The trick to avoiding a puncture, is having enough rubber to prevent debris from causing a puncture. Tire management is of the the things I count into racecraft. Otherwise it’s VER in Italy all day long.

Oh, and when HAM had a puncture a few races back, he still finished first. So the bar is high.

Did anyone not listen to Verstappens onboard audio of his throttle?
He stays on the throttle way to long, guaranteeing him a trip straight to the scene of his accident.
Bit of a rookie mistake.

Sure, but RUS being the stand-in driver isn't in the position to really manage anything - he was given used tires he has no data about so at that point, he's not worrying about tire preservation to try to prevent a tire puncture. This was on Mercedes pit team period.

Not taking anything away from HAM because driver involvement still counts but you're in denial if you don't think the W11 plays a huge part as RUS clearly shown for most of that race. RUS outraced BOT in this race and if it wasn't for the poor pit call and puncture, RUS finishes 1st or a podium finish at a minimum.

You blew my mind there. Now I’m a believer! Last time Hamilton got a puncture wasn’t 10 minutes before the end of the race and it damn well wasn’t after a messed up pit stop!
Look, I know how HAM fanboys argue and I don’t like arguing with them. So have a good day 👌

MAX screwed no one mate . Few moments before the crash , he was sandwiched by the Mercs and had brake like a mad man .
After that the red French MAF came along in his kamikaze torpedo !

Fault was LeCrash and Perez ..

No worries. I know logical discourse is not a strong suite of VER fans. It would make it logically impossible to justify one’s own views.

But not hard feelings from my side either.
