Haha yeah it's funny how much legitimate beginners luck I see. Once you start consistently making money you'll find yourself glued to your screen from 630am-1pm when you have floating cash needing to be invested or reallocated. #addicting. But hey, there could be worse things to be addicted to than making money, right?

I agree that Apple is a behemoth, I was just pointing out that Apple is probably not going to be a growth stock in the next 5+ years. It very well could become a Berkshire type company that just owns a lot of other diverse companies and prints money consistently. It may be the type of thing you want to allocate a large chunk of your $5M+ portfolio to because it is safe. My point is that there are bigger fish to be had at the moment due to their massive market cap and built in growth in their share price. |

I am glad that this thread has become a thread with some intermediate to professional investors or people in the sector.
This thread has been full of "cock eye ball Technical analysis" They bring out a straight ruler and guesstimate the variance + get support/resistance. |

I know I should do my own research but may I ask if anyone know if AAPL buybacks is an open market buy back or are they offering a tender offer?

WHen the market hit the fan, buy back would be more ideal. (just looking at the SHTF history). |

Was also watching Sprint a couple days ago and never pulled the trigger. I guess I am being too lazy to pull the trigger these days. |

I am still kicking myself for not buying Sprint. Odds of Son and Softbank abandoning S this year is slim to none. |

tech hammered!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Today is a great example that down (bear) day is not necessary equal to ^VIX. It is mostly proportional, but way more variable than inverse indicies etfs. |

The only problem with your statement is the latest hammering really has little to do with AAPL and more to do with the greater market selloff. You could have said the same thing about DIS, NFLX, AMZN, TSLA, IBM, MSFT, XOM, etc etc and been right.
This just gives the bulls a lower entry point. I'd be worried if AAPL got hammered while everything else was up...not the case. This is ugly for a lot of companies and AAPL still has better growth than GOOGL and the best balance sheet in the world. It's not perfect, but you could do far worse.
