Right, I was asking recommendations like brand / model / cable. I only have experience with the larger safes I’ve never really looked at those little ones.

I had a console vault safe in my subaru legacy.
My girlfriend bought me an electronic one. I can’t remember who makes it. I used it in my f33 and now my f39.

Ugh, went to order a SA Hellcat and everyone within 30min of me appears to be out of stock. Really frustrating since my cousin was able to order/receive his about 2 weeks ago. Was hoping to have a new toy by my birthday end of next week.

I think most of those types of boxes are all about the same...
cheap metal and cheaper locks...

I think I like the look of the 2nd one better (more secure) but

1. not sure on height fitting underneath the seat
2. not sure it's wide enough to fit a compact or full size vs only a subcompact. Says 5" wide but a G19 is 5.04" from sights to mag plate.

The search continues but thanks for the links, gives me a starting point. Maybe I'll fab something up similar to the 2nd one but with the profile of the 1st one...

Get used to it for a while. NICs is averaging over 4 million checks a month this year. Back in the early 2000's - that was over 6 MONTHS worth of checks. I track this for a report at work and it has hit a new record every other month or so - it's still insanely busy. I've been in the industry for 30 years and this is the worst I have seen it, ever. I went though Black Talon rush, Assault Weapons Ban rush, Obama rush, but this one is by far the worst.

Local gun shops in my non-gunfriendly state went from having nothing but shitty revolvers in their case a couple months back to pretty much having anything you could realistically want, in stock, within the last 2 weeks.

Point is that, even though this is the 'NKOTB' with respect to conceal carry hotness, it should still be pretty easy to get one; especially a 'vanilla' version. Might just have to dig and/or order one for transfer, that's all.

TLDR: how bad do you really want it?

That's great. I donate to a charity raising money to help find a cure for a rare genetic disorder (TECPR2) that a little boy where I live has. The UF genetic department has started their research and hopefully a cure will be found.

I know this an old post and you have probably sorted your purchase out already. I have a gun shop in MD. A lot of dealers can either plug or pin the magazines for you. It's a good solution if you want the standard capacity magazines and not the 10 rounders.
