My BILIL gifted me Sangre de Vida yesterday. Something like 55%, but the wife immediately took to it because of the bottle. Saturday night was rough, so I didn't feel the need to try anything new yesterday.

Friday night was 1800/cranberry, about 8 of them, at the casino.

Saturday started with massage/South Coast granache, then evolved into Tres Generaciones neat for dinner, and finished with 1800/soda water at casino (because cranberry just too much sugar)

ha. this is great. very common practice in the whiskey world...it's known as an "infinity bottle". the logic is just to keep blending the last inch of other bottles into the infinity bottle so there's an ever-changing mash bill and flavor profile.

i dont see why it wouldnt work with rum. how is it???

oh, for sure you should savor the last sip of the good stuff in its natural state as the distiller gods intended!

but it's a fun project for lower-to-mid-range bottles. i do enjoy rum as well, so now i'm thinking i need to start one of these bottles too!
