It's ridiculous how fast Ferrari/LEC is and just increasing the gap and taking out VER from DRS.

Max is always complaining about something. Ferrari just has a better car, Red Bull could had that achievement for just 1 season.
The best driver in history protected by team orders from a relative rookie passing him in the same car? But I thought 77777? |

If it weren't for all the safety cars, LEC would be walking the grid with ease. It's not even close.

Early to bed and early to rise and I see Sainz and luckless Vet are out and it's nearly all about tyres, hards seem to be the mainstay for most at the moment.

What bad luck for Max.
Lets hope that PER engine doesn't break.

Well then, redbull reliability bites again. Max is out of the GP, Sainz out of the GP. Not a good look.

The biggest surprise has to be Mercedes. No upgrades but looked like a good car today. Work still required but given the track and all the talk about the Mercedes PU, they should be further down the grid.

LEC wins and dominates.
Clearly the highest racepace and the tyre management of the Ferrari is very good. Pole, leading all laps and fastest lap. But a bit of a boring race. Not that much spectacular overtakes. I think Checo made the most interesting overtakes. Too bad that Sainz made that error, if it wasn't for that I think some spectacular overtakes would've been possible. But it clearly wasn't his weekend. He went out with a drivers error.

What I'm noticing is how fast the Ferrari is, literally after the safety car restart despite Charles botching that horrendously he put a 1.5 second gap between him and max in 1 lap thats insane. Carlos definitely can't take the pressure of being in a championship battle, it sucks to say but this really does show who the number 1 at Ferrari is.
Another thing I noticed was mercedes finished 5 seconds behind redbull despite Perez having over 10 laps of clean air to build a gap. The Mercedes is getting faster with no upgrades, and with redbull dnfing and 1 Ferrari failing to finish it really does buy Merc more time to get their shit together. And when they get their shit together and can swing with RB and Ferrari, I think they'll have an advantage over redbull because of their superior reliability. Next I'm noticing McLaren is getting alot faster so good on them, and Williams finished in the points too. So maybe the merc Pu isn't an issue, it was just the trash aero with the customer teams. Albon did do a good job after getting dqed in quali to finish where he did. 57 laps on the hard tire is pretty impressive. Redbull have major issues with their Pu and that has to be fixed or else it's over for them.
