Wait, yall need to wait for something to be gone from the ground before you can use your grill???? Wait sort of 4th world do you live in??????

Last night I grilled up 2 tri-tips with just a smattering of Lawry's. We sat on the back driveway with that, mashed taters, some sort of Chinese salad, and rosemary bread. OK, I DID season my drink with Climax before lighting the fire.

Right, Mr Tonka ?

Pork Belly, one of my favorite things! Pieces are mostly fat, the flavor is amazing. btw, pic was taken with an S7 using "food mode" thats why the colors look trippy.

I know the post is from last year but its only 1 page back. Honestly, grass fed is more lean.. doesnt have as much flavor. Lately Costco has been trimming their rib eyes into pieces that look like filets. You basically get the very best part of the rib eye without those huge fat parts running through it. Costs a little more but definitely worth the 1-$2 extra per pound. Tastes like a ribeye, feels like a filet.

That marbeling!

What are you guys paying for meat? It's inanely expensive here compared to back home (australia). Pork is cheap but chicken and beef are crazy, crazy expensive.

Not a regular OT poster, but browse sometimes and wanted to shout out this thread for motivating me to up my grill game. Casual griller who realized for some reason I had never researched the shit out of it, as I do with most things. This thread fixed that. Turbo-charged my setup (Weber Genesis) for the summer with replacement GrillGrates and some quality thermometers, plus spent too much time reading amazingribs.com. Initial results are pretty strong: shish kebabs, chicken breasts, some nice NY strips, and plenty of burgers and dogs so far with the new setup. All with a little more flavor and precision. Still getting used to temperate control with the GrillGrates as they get hotter. But the added heat and the ability to flip them over as a griddle have helped with my searing.

Meat is definitely on the rise. But I will say, I benefit from some of the lowest prices for Beef in the country living in TEXAS.
I have noticed a sharp rise in Chicken but I do buy organic, boneless, skinless, so that is a factor.

Literally just got back from the grocery store. And if you know beef prices, this will make your eyes water (with tears of joy that is!) Check the price and weight below.

As I was saying...

And grabbed some of these for good measure also:

Next stop... My Grill and then... My belly!
