Bought 9mm at a now-low price in the middle of July... I'm very curious if Sportsman's Guide will actually fill the order. 🤞🏻

Just mounted my TLR3 and a sling on my M400 pistol now i just need an optic. I’m planning to go with a red dot and was originally gonna just go with the Sig Romeo5 but one of my friends just offered me a Vortex Crossfire red dot or a trijicon reflex for $100 for either.
I’m completely new to optics so i’m not really sure which would be best. Romeo5 is about $150 fyi

Are you able to activate the light with it mounted like that? Seems like a long reach for your finger.

This is about $200 US. I'm surprised we have ammo cheaper here. I'm going to pick up another 1000 rounds now.

I polished my Gen 5 Glock 17 trigger the point I'm fine with it for now and I'm prioritizing a light and compatible holster ahead of some proper trigger work. I'm also moving to a retention-style holster for my battle belt. Ordered a Safariland 6360rds in their black STX Tactical (Cordura) finish from Optics Planet. Should take about a month to arrive.

From the government of Canada website :
https://www.nrcan.gc.ca/explosives/i...mmunition/9909 Importation, Exportation and Transportation In-Transit of Ammunition Any individual can import up to 5,000 rounds of small arms cartridges into Canada without an import permit if they are for personal use (i.e., not for resale). If you plan to resell the cartridges or to import more than 5,000 rounds, you need an import permit. Similarly, you can export and transport in-transit up to 5,000 rounds of small arms cartridges for personal use without an export and transport in-transit permit, but you need a permit if you plan to resell the cartridges or to export and transport in-transit more than 5,000 rounds. |

Just picked up a romeo5 red dot. Seems to work well and havent seen any bad reviews
Planning to go to the range soon to zero it in. My AR pistol is almost setup to my liking just need a better trigger and muzzle brake. Debating the SBR option vs finding a different brace

I’m gonna use the trigger in it for now. It’s not terrible. Definitely better than milspec but not nearly as good as the SA saint i looked at side by side. I’ve got some friends who run Eotech and love them but i’m not looking to drop that much on an optic right now and everything i’ve read and watched have all had good things to say about the Romeo and so far i’m happy with it but we’ll really see when i go to the range.

I'm not an expert, but my perception is you're choosing an eotech because they set the standard for reliability. IMO the average civilian should consider if other optics are better suited for their expected usage pattern. Even if you like a holographic sighting system, there's other options out there. I know Vortex has one that is potentially a better option.
