Thanks, yeah I like all his stuff, even the Happening, but if I am going to be an honest critic I like to tell the truth on what I could actually recommend to a friend.

I too liked Split and Old was actually really unique just no one watched it.

Went to first theatre show in a couple years and saw Operation Fortune. It was a strange attempt to copy several movies. Could easily have saved $26.50 plus candy a seen it at home, but the wife wanted to show my drunk self off to the public

I went to see it with the lady friend last night as well. We both thoroughly enjoyed it! It was nonstop entertainment from beginning to end. Coupling it with good action and humor and we got a movie that we liked. I’ll watch anything with Jason Statham (and Hugh Grant) though.

We wanted to go see Cocaine Bear weekend before last since my dad was in town. But we waited to long to buy tickets online.

By the time we did for the showtime we wanted, the tickets were either stupidly expensive (I'm not paying $16/ticket for any movie) or there no theaters with 3 seats together.

I used to love going to the theatre to watch movies, but since the lockdowns etc I just have no interest anymore.

Dolby Digital or bigger screens are $25-26 here in Silicon Valley. Makes AMC A-List worth it at $25 a month.

Not interested either, and we used to go every week.

Edit: still love movies and watch them often, but watch them at home.

No idea. I've been to the theater twice in the last 8 years. I have a big TV and sound system at home for a reason.

Same here. When I was a grade-schooler in the mid-50s, dad and I took them in streams and small rivers in central Wyoming.

Mom wasn't enthused about cleaning and preparing them and said "There's almost nothing here to eat!" Our response: "We'll catch more next time - when will they be ready!"

Not Jason Bourne but Bill Baker in this one, fact based but only on the premise of the murder investigation on Amanda Knox. Watched before.

Remember I made a post about seeing “The Whale” in theaters and how I really liked it? So happy he won! I think most people were rooting for his comeback.

The first was one of the more unsettling Horror movies I've seen in a while. If they can keep this formula and writing, the sequel will be worthy of a watch:

Liked the first one as well and I'll be on board for the second one if it's anything like the original.

I watched the Resident with Hilarie Swank and Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

Freaky stuff, but so many unanswered and unnecessary things in the film. Like the grandfather August. Clearly, he emotionally abuses Max (Dean Morgan), but I almost got the vibe that he inherited this creepy stalking lifestyle from August as alluded to the bizarre second meeting of Juliet (Swank) and him when she thought he gave her a gift.

IF you want unsettling and something you may not have seen before look up the Deep House on Paramount+.

Some submerged house at the bottom of a lake in some country in Europe.
