Watching Jurassic World Dominion. Not loving it so far. Maybe I gotta give it some more time. Too many damn dinosaurs.

Wife and I watched The Northman tonight. For those familiar with Robert Eggers work (The Witch, The Lighthouse), this movie features his signature style, but on a much grander scale and with a larger cast. The first act is a bit too long, however once past that the movie really picks up with great suspense, and the action is just fantastic, even on the small airplane screens we watched on. Acting from Alexander Skarsgard, Anya Taylor-Joy, and Nicole Kidman was also of course fantastic. Definitely not a movie for everyone, but was pretty good in my opinion.

Had high hopes for this movie. It was ultra boring and the series Viking Valhalla blows it away!

The Minister of War & Finance and I rewatched "Ford v. Ferrari" last night in 4k on the "big" tv w/ 5.1 sound.

The movie just gets better and better rewatching it.

I dunno if we can be friends anymore

Maybe it's the phenomenon of being stuck on a plane so the movie seems much better? I dunno haha.

Eggers’ movies are typically pretty divisive and certainly different than the norm. A lot of people had the same reaction to The Witch and The Lighthouse. Definitely not for everyone.

Haha, it's all good, different strokes.

He made those other 2? I liked The Witch but not the latter. Ya, he definitely has his own unique style, that's for sure.

Many ppl love David Lynch but I tried to watch Twin Peaks countless times and just couldn't get into it.

I'm with you on David Lynch. He's different that's for sure. I tried Twin Peaks as well, not for me. The only movies of his that I like were "Wild at Heart" and "Blue Velvet," though thought the latter was pretty weird.

Watched “Missing” last night. Very enjoyable and a pretty darn good movie! Date and I liked it quite a bit. Good storyline, acting, mystery, humor, etc. Definitely recommend it.

New version of All Quiet on the Western Front was significantly more disturbing than the original. I got thru Paul stabbing the guy in the hole, then had to go for a run, before returning to watch the rest. IT's GOOD that this was so disturbingly graphic, to show the horrors of war. All that was missing was the smell. . .

In the original, didn't the two sides come out and play soccer at the time of the cease fire?

I'm about 2/3rds way through it, god damn. I am a soft, weak, selfish man. Those poor boys. What a life.

I’m curious about “Knock at the cabin,” but kind of been disappointed at most M. Night’s movies for the last 10-15 years. Ratings on this so far are 4.8/10. Not sure if it’s worth the watch. What are your thoughts on the premise of this movie?

I'm definitely interested. Not enough to go pay at theaters. I'll wait for Digital release.
