I thought the season finale of "the boys" was brilliant. Good twists. I loved the "flash dance" bit

Finally all caught up on Barry. Excellent series. Very dark comedy, although becomes progressively more drama each season. The writing is very clever, the acting is fantastic, and the show gains a lot of suspense the further you go. Honestly, it reminds me a bit of Dexter in the plot and how intense it gets. Highly recommend.

Just watched the third episode of Black Bird on AppleTV. Good cast, good show so far.

And:
Lots of spoiler alerts here———- Star Trek, strange new world was also very good. Seeing captain pike in a star trek 2 uniform, was a great twist. The only real let down was casting: Captain Kirk, not nearly as charismatic as William Shatner. |

Re s3e8 of The Boys, I dunno, it has kinda jumbled and the first one I saw in which the writing wasn't up to par, some things were just flimsily done and didn't make much sense. Still a good watch but not as great as I expected.

My wife and I have pretty much given up on it. I think they are trying to establish relationship between Spock and Pike similar to Kirk and Spock with the banter but it seems a bit lame, and then there is the constant underlying PC vibe. This show might be good for some but we just aren't feeling it.

Finished The Terminal List a couple nights back. Solid show but it starts really slow. This is coming from someone who has little to no tolerance for slow programs and I typically call it quits very quickly. You have to get a few episodes in on this show for a proper assessment. If you get to the end of Episode 3 and you're still not feeling it, move on.
I would also mention the story can be difficult to follow if you're multitasking while watching. The story is a little deeper than I expected and perhaps the depths to which they take it may be uncessary. Thoughts on that from anyone who has completed it? |

I'm a bit of an absurdistic comedy fan, like Rick & Morty, F is for Family(excellent) and that kind of stuff.
But also the absurdistic crazy Prime Video series from Argentina: Porno y helados.(Porn and ice cream) Loving it Also recommended: Spanish Netflix series: Entrevias. Great stuff. Cheers Robin

Finished season 1 of Terminal List. Good series, thanks for the recommendation. Took about five episodes for me to really get into it.

I am almost thru season 1 of Terminal list, it's intense but nothing great although I love Chris Pratt.
Just finished the last episode of Last Kingdom, if you never saw it try it. Great show, i think its better then Game of Thrones although not as complex. |

Finished Terminal List last night. Worth watching. Good story, Pratt was good but feel like they could have had a better show based on the story. Tried to force twists and turns too much resulted in something more complicated than necessary as Clark_Kent alluded to above.

Hopefully but could also take it into absurdity. We’ll see. Has a second season been announced?

Not that I'm aware of, they left it that it could be either he sails off into the great beyond or he goes and finds a cure. If there is a second season I'll definitely give it a try though.

Finished watching Candy. Jessica Biel and Melanie Lynskey don't disappoint, and I loved the 70's style set, costumes, and looks, but the plot felt like it had a bit too much filler despite only being 5 episodes long. Interestingly, HBO also picked up the story so they will have their own version with Elizabeth Olsen and Lily Rabe, will be interesting to see how they compare. Also quite ironic what position the real Candy ended up in after the trial.
