Red Bull Racing is a joke.

They've lost me as a fan with that shitty decision, Perez has been costing them millions in development and important points, and they're keeping him instead of sticking literally anybody else who would do better.

He will never drive for RBR.

He's a Honda driver and Honda is leaving in 2026.

It would have been Dany Ric for half the season, Lawson in the VCARB.

But since they decided to keep perez....
it's to do with the internal power struggle

Oh, Verstappen is very good in the rain. But you're cherry-picking an event going on 8 years ago to explain something that happened this weekend --apples and oranges much ?--, when yourself said it was the set up. You can be a diehard fan without contradicting yourself.

BTW, Senna was a far better driver in the rain.

It's ok...Ham is down in 4th in terms of win % because Max is within the holy trinity of Sch, Sen, and himself.

If they made the very bad move of letting Ham drive an F1 car at 17 this would have been the result.

Anyway, if you took the MB years of 2014-2021 out of Ham's career (where literally anyone who's ever even done a HPDE could win in with ease...absolutely ease) he won only 22 races out of 187 or 12% - and in those years he had the best or second best car every year. Max without nearly the same level of car for most of his years between 2016 and 2021 still won nearly 15% of races (22 out of 147) - only 1 of those years he had a decent car that was still not fastest. Ham simply is not that good when he doesnt have the best F1 car the sport has ever seen and when the competition is close - the last 3 years have proven that beyond any reasonable doubt since it is the same as what you saw earlier in his career with Mclaren and his first year with MB.

"The Sergio Perez sponsor theory aiding Max Verstappen’s huge Red Bull salary
02 Jun 2024 6:30 PM
Max Verstappen’s Red Bull salary stretches the budget in a way which makes Sergio Perez very useful amid talk of a new contract coming.
That is the claim of Ralf Schumacher, who has identified the sponsorship money which Perez brings to Red Bull as a critical contributor towards the team’s budget.
Sergio Perez needed to cushion Max Verstappen Red Bull salary hit?
Perez first joined the Red Bull team back in 2021 and has since played his part in two Constructors’ title triumphs, with Red Bull chasing a third in F1 2024.
And it has been widely reported that a Red Bull contract extension for Perez is set to be announced, despite the Mexican racer being without a podium since the Chinese Grand Prix.
But according to Schumacher, the financial side is also important with Perez, as that helps Red Bull sustain their budget with three-time World Champion Verstappen’s salary to pay, Forbes valuing that at $70 million.
Speaking to Formel1.de, Schumacher said: “You shouldn’t forget, as long as Max Verstappen stays, that’s what I’ve heard at least once, the budget limits are relatively tight at Red Bull, and Perez brings money.”
Perez boasts sponsorship deals with the likes of Disney, Telcel, Mobil, Claro, Nescafé and KitKat."

I don't believe that RB, with all the money in the world, cannot find cash to pay Max. It's a smoke screen.

7 championships, arguably 8, most wins, most poles, and some are still arguing Hamilton is only good when all stars align. Go figure. He beat Alonso on his maiden season. Alonso !

Yeah . In other words : The Mexican KitKat money arrived just in time (again)! to save Checo's A$$ after the summer break.

But I really wonder who paid for Checo's $3.5 Million crash damage (so far) ?

As far as I know , the Red Bull Team got in 2023 for the constructors world title $185 Million (!)
I'm pretty sure ,that's a lot of Mexican KitKats my friend.

The Red Bull Team will lose the constructors title because Checo drives like a Fking idiot.

I doesn't make sense and I just don't get it ...

If I were you, I'd just be patient to see how LEW completely fails (!)

The way this chat (and generally Formula1 in general) that Ham is average, Alonso actually is a better driver (not sure how...) and Max is a once in millennia talent that was already wheel to wheel with Ham at 18.

I'm not sure Hamilton will do well at Ferrari next year. By the way the competition is mounting, I'm no longer sure Verstappen will do well either.

Both are excellent drivers. Actually, on numbers, Hamilton is better.

You do know that HAM is playing with house money? The only way HAM “fails” as you put it, is if Mercedes wins either or both drivers or constructors titles after he’s gone. Worse case, it would be a parallel move. Everything else, HAM just further solidifying his career and stat padding for F1 history books at Ferrari - there’s literally nothing left for HAM to prove.

Everyone trying to turn this transfer into a negative like Mercedes is still this unbeatable powerhouse that he’s leaving.

Ham has also raced for 10 years longer than Max - I'd hope his number were better especially when 8 of those years he had the single fastest car F1 has ever seen (any decent driver from ANY series would have done what he did and in a case like Max, he would have done better) and in all but 1 of the other seasons, he had either the best or second best car. The stats prove that aside from the cheating scandal with Renault, and his years with MB, when there was actually competition and parity in the sport, he has struggled mightily to win. In those roughly 170 races he has only 15 wins across 9 seasons. Max has more wins from 2016-2021 and never had the best car in any of those seasons - roughly, on average, the 3rd best . At the same point in both careers, Max's numbers are better. And he has not had nearly the dominant level car which tells you quite a bit.

FYI, Hamilton won his first GP at his 6th attempt. And racing against 2-time champion Alonso. I wonder how many GPs you’ve won. I bet a big ole goose egg.

Buy? Guaranteed if and when HAM wins his first race with Ferrari, they will gift him the race car at the end of the season along with whatever the latest road Ferrari is available.

Being a Ferrari ambassador has to have certain perks, no?
