Just took delivery of a matte black Edition1 C63 Coupe!
This past Friday I took delivery of a 2012 Matte Black Edition1 C63 Coupe. I picked up the car from Mercedes of Southampton, NY. Great group of guys there. Friendly staff, courteous, honest and very accommodating. Alan Weiss was my salesman, definitely would recommend him (if any of you others are in the market)! They even gave me a little tutorial on how to maintain the matte paint. I am coming out of a 2011 BMW M3 Convertible. I have only driven the car about 60 miles but it really is amazing. The sound is intoxicating, killer acceleration and just an all around great package. Super firm suspension, tight steering, and some fun little options and amenities. All in all I love this car. I was a huge BMW guy having owned six M cars but I think I like these AMG cars!
And now for some pictures:

That is a beautiful machine! Thanks for sharing pics. Love the matte paint and the interior is really nice as well! (Mercedes definitely has that part down)
A friend has a C63 sedan, and that car is simply just a BEAST! Enjoy it in good health!

hopefully they step up the seats in the new M3... seems like all other makers are making big improvements so it would be nice to see M do so as well

Would still prefer a 'regular' C63 coupe in white with a red/black interior. Amazing ride nonetheless.

The car looks great! I love the combo you picked. Matte paint looks sic. I also love the the red on the steering wheel. It also has the best OEM exhaust note this side of a Carrera GT.

That is super boss. I would change the wheels though, I think the matte and gloss finishes kind of clash. Awesome car man.

+1 Everything about that car is amazing, however, I do agree. I think those wheels would look better on a white car. Hopefully I'll be getting a new C36 sedan this summer.

Nice. I'm not a fan of matte but still a beast. Few changes I would make:
- Gloss black window and bootlid trim. - New wheels or at least get these coated. Chrome lip doesn't go well with matte paint IMO. - Reflector delete or paint.

You know what I really want to see someone do? Paint the fog surrounds. They should be either body-coloured or gloss black. I hate that massive chrome surround it makes the intakes seem smaller.
