What gave that idea about the rear seating space of an X6 have you ever been in one?

The pana is just magnificent and I have to say that you guys have no sense of style or class....

I would say that the v6 is more reasonable but the v8 is definitely the one to go with .....and +1 to the burmester sound system...

panamera 4 v6 it is !

It beat out the 750i from bmw...which honestly, is a giant driver's car...no luxury, and has body lean unless you buy the roll stabilization...and costs more. Plus BMW's twin turbo charged V8 has that obvious lag that our 335i's have...its not natural. Obv speed wise the six from porsche can't keep up, but this car ain't about speed. Its interior (porsche) is beautiful.

True, the real panamera is a V8 ...but costly here in Canada....in the US, we could swing for the V8 no problem.

For the haters you must see one of these in person... the photos make it look like a complete turd, but when you see one go by/parked on the street, it is jaw dropping.

Add some wheels + tint and it gets even better.

My neighbor has a Cayenne Turbo and a Panamera Turbo.... they look really nice sitting in the garage together. LOL.

When Top Gear tested the X6 they said it was the most useless car ever made... I love the X6... ///M

So true to the first part.

FFFFHHHIIIIIIMMMMM to your neighbor

if my house was paid off next month and I could talk the wifey into it then a panamera would be in the driveway in the spring. all hypothetical in my case.

but for your family I would def get the porsche. porsche trumps mercedes in my mind.

thx, you guys have good opinions

we have come to a similar conclusion -- there is simply no vehicle that can match the panamera's affordability, interior, performance, brand status, and reliability, and comfort (relatively speaking)

nothing.

Not hating, just personal opinion. I think the rear was not well thought out. But then what can you do when you are a builder of some very fine coupes and you need to keep design style the same with 4 doors? Personally I think the only car that manages it is the Aston Martin.

I am not sure they should be sitting there as long as they have? Maybe its the area and economy with that specific dealer?

But its an aston martin -- too expensive, not as sporty as the porsche, no room the back (i mean none, so the 2 rear seats are useless), and shoddy reliability relative to the porsche.

unless you're made of millions, its not a practical daily driver like the panamera.

you're right about the look, but thats life...gotta have a trade off.

I love the Panamera its a beautiful and a tough choice when compared to the S class but I'd definitely go for the Panamera!

Agreed, the lumbar support in the rear of the Panamera is amazing

To get to that level, you need the BMW 750iL or S550's massaging individual rear seats with the adjustable lumbar and what not...very pricey.

Panamera is great value, esp the 6 cylinder if you don't need excessive power. The key with this car is keeping options down...which most Porsche buyers esp in the US, simply do not do.

Ended up thinking Panamera V6 (b/c of price) or an S450. Right now, looks like the Panamera v6 is the call. True, I personally believe the Panamera is at its best in the V8 form; but the folks don't need that.

The 7 series just isn't luxurious and doesn't drive as well as BMW's smaller cars (1 and 3 series); feels dreary. And nobody is going to pay money/top dollar for an Audi.

Honestly, the rear looks like a carrera 911? how come you guys hate it so much? Its a Granturismo car, they've looked like that for ages. I just don't think North America has seen enough of them.
Hey man, congrats on the Panamera. And I think you got to read those post again as most of them favoring panamera, not dissing it .

And yeh lexus LS460/600hl is kind of bland inside out but in terms of reliability, no one can beat it's value.
SOme people are tired of merc, audi, bmw etc being unreliable and just want a car that's easy to maintain and doesn't give a fat repair bill. LS fits the bill perfectly.
Anyway, even after praising it so much, I wouldn't get a LS. If I had the money, Panamera all the way

P.S is there a chance to get the panamera in a 5 seat trim? If it was my daily driver, I would like the option of carrying my family of 5 in one car. Ask your dealer.

I dig the Panamera, the interior is awesome, the exterior really does look good in person, it isn't exactly photogenic most of the time.

I disagree. The new XJ is at the very least on par in terms of interior and comfort, much better in terms of affordability, and good enough of a driver's car (nothing in this class needs to be a hardcore sportscar) that it makes up for the lack of brand status.

I've sat in a Panamera S and Turbo. While they look great from the outside (to state the obvious like everyone else: pics don't do justice) and have a gorgeous interior, the new XJ is simply phenomenal inside and out.

I was chasing one at the Ring while on my ED trip. This was before the release here in the states, and it is one badass car. On the straights it would pull me, and I stood no chance in the corners. And there were four people in the car. Turn's out it was a factory driver giving Porsche execs a taste. Awesome car.

Of course, just not my cup of tea. But then again, I have never really been a porsche fan. To each their own, right?
