This is clear to all now and thinking it was cute is bewildering to me.

Why not just clean it all up and remove the sold M6 sig line?

Before you try and say you really had it, think for a minute if that is possible.

Does claiming to own these, M6/997 TT, cars somehow seem real?

How does that work at the end of the day when you go outside and they are not there?

Cred? I would consider letting domo vanish in the wind and register under a new name. Just be careful where you "find" your cars to list as yours.

This place is a trip.

Yeah I'm debating on whether or not to get myself in the market for one now.... With the number of clean examples small and shrinking, along with the fact that the economy will eventually come out of the shitter, I'm debating on whether or not it's a wise idea to put it off for too long. I dunno though. With all the friends and family struggling right now in this economy, I have problems even entertaining the idea. Seems insensitive almost. "Oh hey [insert name of unemployed friend/family here], nice to see you! God, how have you been? Sorry to hear about the job and family issues. Wanna take a ride in my testosteronemobile? You wouldn't believe, I got it for next to nothing, considering it's a 993 Turbo! 70k! Isn't that something!?"

Ditto.

My sisters catering biz is gasping, my younger brother is coming off a somewhat nasty divorce-she took her Boxster-he had to rid his 997S before she got it too, and to meet for whatever reason in a fancy pants car or anything different would cause them to possibly try and poison me.

Good choice. Right now is not the right time to drop 70k on a car.

Good advice. The M6 is obviously bogus, too. How often do you see one posted on one day and then magically sold the very next day. Doesn't happen in the real world.

It's fine to act out your fantasies, but not at other people's expense. Keep your daydreaming to yourself from now on. It destroys the cred of the honest folks on e90post. Everyone becomes suspect. And that's not a nice world to have to live in. There's too much of it already out there.

Let's not allow e90post become just a playground for little kid's car fantasies.....

I've been very lucky in the industry I'm in (oddly enough known here as simply "the industry" ) and am not hurting. But I hear what you all are saying and I am an empathetic type. And now I feel guilty as sin to even be thinking about buying something so frivolous (ie, the Baltic Blue 997TT.) But the prices are good for buyers. It's a tough position to be in.

In the end there will always be people affording expensive cars and those who cannot. But, yes, in this climate it's more obvious. And "just let them eat cake" is certainly not part of my lexicon. I truly understand what it's like to have very little with nothing in sight; been there, done that.

Living without can be actually better than living with it all sometimes. You know, the 'less is good' phenomenon.

Time to re-think my current plan perhaps.....sigh.

I have been in better standing all around than I am right now but I'll tell you what, you find out who cares about you and who was just ridding along with their head out the window.

Construction is bouncing back but I am pretty much burned out. I would gladly give all the "stuff" up in exchange for a simple but fulfilling lifestyle. A house in the country with a porch swing for me to sit on with my dog and an old pickup in front sounds pretty good. Big city life ain't all that after awhile. Dealing with the creeps, crackheads and overall P'OS just trying to stomp on their best friends throat trying to "get ahead". They will hopefully figure it out one day.

Actually if your finances are really strong right now (i.e - Lots of free cash, and no huge liabilities), it's the perfect time to buy, but only if. There are people in this position, but not many.

I have a feeling you're not the average E90Post kid who is living paycheck to paycheck to be able to afford their 3-series "luxury" car.
