that's what I'm thinking of doing but according to the guy that posted before you it wont work? I guess they use the KBB value of the car to charge the tax which is pretty fuckin stupid.

Well then... you can say that car was in awful shape ... but then you got it fixed thus why they sold it for cheap =]

As already mentioned, it does work. I've done it a few times, even on expensive cars. If they ask, just tell them that the car was wrecked and the seller is giving it to you at a low price.

IF you get a loan, forget the previous two pages. The bank won't loan you without an appraisal, and they won't lie about the price for you.
