Not so with Freshly and Factor. 3 minutes in the microwave. They are completely prepared. And your judgementnfor how others live is unwarranted.

Just figure out how to make meals that don't take long to prepare. There are a dizzying amount of recipes available that take less than 30 minutes to make.
I don't want to take 30 minutes making a meal for just me.

I purchased 3 compartment trays that are microwaveable safe. Started making meals for my son who moved into nyc and was working like 16 hour days M-F. He just got so sick of eating take out.

Now when I make something I make double and freeze some for night my wife does not cook.

My son is now moved in with his GF and is doing blue basket where they deliver ingredients and you cook them.

They like it and it’s fresh and healthy.

Costco has some sous vide chicken packages that taste pretty good. I'll make one for the family and use half the sauce since it's high in fat and calories. They are paleo friendly and I usually steam broccoli or make cauliflower rice to go along. I'm currently losing weight on the Optavia 5&1 so I only eat one meal a day outside of the five fuelings. When I get to the 3&3 I'm going to cook ahead for the week and avoid eating out like I used too.

I would co-sign on this. I have 100% cheated and got Kevin's Natural Foods. They're all pre-cooked pretty much and sealed in sous-vide bags. Toss it into hot water for 1.5 mins if memory serves me correct. Regardless, it's minutes, it's fresh, organic, yada yada yada.

I know they're paleo friendly. I just don't really follow diet plans. But they're decently tasty. It's not fine dining but it's better than frozen and microwaved shit lol.

I mean if I was forced to cook... how hard would it be to grill some protein and make rice or vegetables? Steak, chicken, fish... maybe it gets boring after a while, but I think it would be tastier and probably better for you than microwaved meals. I dunno.

I've been eating low carb and that's pretty much what I've been eating. If I could eat rice it would be even easier because even I can make rice in a rice maker.

You're eating microwaved food now? Microwaves are for reheating left overs once a week.

I love how a prepared meal thread seems to attract more people that just want to assert their lifestyle on yours and tell you that yours is wrong... might as well go hit up the EV threads to finish out the premise.

lmfao people are so elitist in what they eat. (not this thread in particular) I'll eat super clean or pound out two big macs and a soft serve.

tbh you dont need these meal services. most of the stuff can be made in the same time. meal prep once a week. eat steak everyday.

Trader Joe's has a ton of prepared meals that are all less than $10 (and the portions are normally enough for 2)

For instance, I like their lemon chicken (prepared) which is just grilled, lemon chicken. It's like $7.

Just a thought...

You can also look for a local companies who do meal prep. We have several that will put out a menu and you can choose which meals you want and how many. One lets you pick a petite size and then a regular size which helped because I didn't need the regular meal size. When we have a busy week we will do this and it keeps the waste down.

I tried a few of the ship to your door and they always delivered middle to end of the week so I didn't favor that time frame.

Yeah this is something I haven't yet looked into but am planning to - local companies. Right now we're on Factor which has proven to be pretty good, but doesn't have the largest variety of types of meals.
