I wonder if a better question would be if it's any less reliable than other vehicles in its class? M40i, GLC43, etc.

garbage.

mother has one, transfer case went bad, headlight peeling (and it took champion Porsche of all places 4 weeks to seek approval for it)

Now all 4 door handles are cracked. I kid you not, the truck has barely 17k on the lease, and can't wait to get rid of it.

I stop worrying of what could happen. Porsche’s owners are mixed with their experiences. Others swear by its built while others like post above have less than stellar experiences. What is important is you can afford keeping up with the car and fixing it. My wife has been asking for a Macan for a very long time I myself want to stay away as they are so expensive to maintain. But we got one anyway, a gts, as we can afford not only the car but the what if’s. It is a very well built car. Tolerances and quality are superb and feels more solid than previous bmw’s and merc’s we’ve had. Along with that is a 4 year maintenance plan with brakes and a 7 yr 100k extended warranty.

How much did you pay for the extended warranty? I recall that being around 4-5k?

Our extended warranty is though Geico’s MBI insurance. Which is like $80 per 6 months additional.

Bought a '19 CPO Macan S with 5k miles two years ago. When I was looking into the car, I noticed their CPO warranty was 6 yr/ 100k miles bumper to bumper VS the new car warranty 4 yr/ 50k mile. took me a while to find it but saved about 7k off the sticker and got a better warranty.

I was doing a PPI on a Macan turbo when they found this leak on the car I was looking at. Search the Macan forum. As with anything German, it’s best to have a warranty. Stuff breaks and is expensive to fix. Overall Porsche is more reliable than the other Germans.

I did have both of these issues above. Luckily, I saw little oil on my garage floor, told the dealer about it and they did the whole service under warranty. Door handles will be taken care of on the next visit. other than the services being a little on the pricey side, $500 for an oil change at the dealer etc. Same advice as above, just be ready to fix something if it breaks. Mine has 31k miles now, still love it and I plan on keeping it a long time

Okay now someone is going to have to show me this door handle cracking issue as that's not the typical issue you see on any vehicle.

Thanks for the TSB. I’m glad it’s been corrected for newer Macans. I’ll still keep an eye on it.
