If hamilton gets off to a bad start, this could be a much needed win for Seb.

Glad to see a change at the top. Ferrari looks poised to give MB a run for the money this year.
Couldn't believe the fans on the track while cars were still running. Haven't seen that in many years.

The post race interview with Alonso sounded like someone looking for a new job. It was my best race ever, I'm fit and my driving is at the top of my carrier. The car is very disappointing with no positives, it's a problem for the team but not for me anymore....
Intriguing. Otherwise very good to see that at least for now Ferrari looks competitive, not so good that the new cars seem to have made passing more difficult by generating more turbulence. |

Finally a change in the leaderboards! I'm hoping this is true pace for Ferrari and we see them swapping blows with Merc for the rest of the season. Redbull are looming in the background too!
Sad day for Haas, I was hoping Grosjean would score some good points. |

such a dumb strategy by mercedes, nothing new. pulled lewis in too early for the first pit, then he got unlucky behind verstappen. probably his best start too lol

The entire race LH's mercedes felt a bit nervous with the new tires. He never felt really comfortable with it at all. We also saw a glimpse of the new race strategy, its not about undercut anymore. Its about overcut, or who can hold on to the faster tire longer.

Been a LH fan for awhile, but damn, he sure seems to go into panic mode WAAAY too soon when the car's not perfect. He had between 1-2 seconds on SV with no seeming threat of being passed, and yet he still insisted on pitting early. One race doesn't make a season, but this will get old quick if he doesn't toughen up.

I think they are so used to just cruising to the win without really worrying about much that once they are under pressure, they break down.
