The A5 is a grea car. However, would you really purchase a car the first year it is out?

The first one I saw was black and very well detailed - fortunately I was stopped in traffic or my rubbernecking could have caused an accident. Dare I say it's slightly better looking than the E92 (ducks for cover . . .), but hey, I drive an E90 and I know the E92 is sexier than my car (but not as practical for my needs).

A5 is a good looking car but to me it looks a bit SOFT. It looks more "elegant" than "sporty" to me. S5, on the other hand, looks much better with the aggressive wheels and grill. These cars look so damn wiiiiiiide!

S5 is an awesome car. I would have had a tough decision with my 2nd 335 or an S5, if the wait for an S5 wasn't over 3 months. Im sure I would have had zero regrets with either car, they are both bad*ss. Still love my 335, plus a modded 335 will be a lot faster!

I've driven the A5 and the E92/93 328 and 335. Have not driven the S5. Speaking to those I have driven, The A5 competes with the 328 only in power and not in ride or handling and is completely outclassed by the 335. As far as styling, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I like the rear end of the A5 better than the BMW but not the front where the BMW is preferred. Generally the A5 appears to be bulky, a few pounds over weight and on steroids. The E92/93 are sleeker, sharper and sportier looking. The A5's interior is probably its best quality especially the integration of the Nav package into the dash. It outclasses the BMW there. However, absent the Nav package, I like the simplicity of the BMW design. A5 has the advantage in trunk space but loses to the BMW in rear seat room. That's my $.02 worth.

Im kinda opposite of you. I loved how the car looked in photos and was soo excited to see the car in person. But when i did, i was not really impressed. Now the interior on the other hand, that is just beautiful....

S5 is prettier. I have an A4 so I'm used to the overboosted steering. It's pretty amazing the difference in steering feel in the cars. I gotta say I prefer the BMW handling (even though when I was an Audi Fanboy I would have been saying...." Quattro FTW!!!"
Like I've said before. The perfect car would be the S5 interior/exterior with the 335i drivetrain (although the S5 could use a few less buttons around the shifter).

Also noteworthy: the Audi S5’s performance barely matches the lower priced BMW 335i (also available with four wheel drive) and poses no threat whatsoever to the upcoming V8-powered BMW M3. Even on its own terms, the S5’s lack of an automatic or dual clutch transmission limits the model’s appeal. Perhaps if the S5 packed the RS4’s 420hp motor, it would make more sense. The Audi faithful can only hope this version is on the way. Meanwhile, the Audi S5 is a vehicle I might settle for, but not one I truly desire. In short, the S5 is a supremely capable all-weather point and shoot luxobarge– that's as suitable for hunting M cars as a .22 caliber rifle is for shooting a grizzly. some quotes from a magazine. I love the style of the S5. It is a very handsome car. I hate the steering wheel.....but all in all a very nice car.

The S5/A5 are great looking cars.
But if you think that the S5 will beat a 335 in a performance test, than you might want to re-think your conclusion. Check out this link and.......... You do the math.....
