I started the thread hoping some members would "show & tell" about some time slips from past drag runs, as I'm sure I'm not the only member with a drawer full of them... That being said, your car is definitely well done and one of the nicer e46's Ive seen. And it seems we have similar taste, as I have the same lettering kit on my "shoes" LMAO...

C'mon fellow members, I know the M3 is not a drag car and most of you think about hitting the Nurburing when you hear track...But I know I'm not the only one here thats been down a drag strip on occasion
Post em if you got em!

All my cars have ran 14.0-14.5, that's this current one, a 350z with LSD, test pipes and 6MT, and a 2002 Jetta 5AT with a few mods. I've only been to the track a few times so it could be the driver mod that's the issue here; not to mention Florida summer dampens performance. I ran my truck once (Nissan Frontier 6MT) and I think I got a high 15s, lol.

Haha, Hicksville? Where exactly. I do a ton of driving, put 25k miles on it since June, and I worked in Melville and drive to and from Queens pretty regularly, so def could've been me. My car is also pretty distinct, LOL. And dont worry weve all done our 14-15 second passes. Still equally as fun. Post the slips if you have them if you compare the 60', 1/4 time and trap you can get a goof idea if its the car or the driver. The evo was AWD so my ET's varied by .4 seconds tops...But the M3, if I get a bad launch and miss a shift or hit rev limiter you could easily end up in the 14's lol.

But thanks for the info bro, I've been considering getting another one, maybe with a salvage title or something just for a project car for the track.

I don't remember the trap. I actually didn't launch that hard. I was still getting used to rear wheel drive. I used to just dump the clutch at 6k with my Evo.

How many cluitches did you go through? How many tranny rebuilds, and in how many miles?
I blew 1 OEM clutch (@ 7k miles) and 2 ACT clutches (Disc first, Puck second), Rebuild the transmission twice, and had to get a new diff at 20k miles...This was all in about 50k miles lol. Then in 2007-2008 I believe an unlicensed woman with Lincoln General insurance, who was smoking pot and driving with her 16-17 year old daughter in her POS car, rammed me off the road an into a guard rail....With about $9,000 in damage, they totalled the car. BUT, she only had $10k liability insurance?!? And my company denied me, because I just switched companies about 3 weeks before and I never got the "car code" done by the new company which is them basically checking to see the condition of the car they were insuring. However the other insurance company "had no interest in the car",and I sold it to my boss for $7k

Going from my last time, I think my 60' was 2.4, trap 98mph and 14.0 ET, this was with the BMW. 350z I believe was 2.4-6 60', trap was less than 100mph and ET 14.3. Jetta I can't remember, but ET was 14.5, All cars had A/S tires. BMW had RFT Conti, 350Z was Falken 245mm, and Jetta was 185 lol.

Sorry just seeing this now...Always loved that color...EVO 7-10's were really legendary cars for the price....I mean brembo brakes had issues, tranny/clutch were incredibly week....The turbotechology was ahead of its time, and the handling was incredible?
What hits better numbers on skidbad/slolam , Evo VII oe e92 M3??? I ALWAYS felt much safer in the EVO in high speed turns...

I don't have any time slips uploaded, but here are some of my old fun cars...
1989 Mustang LX w/some weight reduction, built 306 & some nitrous. Went 10s. 1993 Mustang GT. H/C/I/E etc. Good for 12s. Not fast, but I had this car back in 2004 & it was damn near mint. 1995 Z28. Bolts-ons & suspension. 1995 Mustang GT Vert w/DSS 331 2006 Corvette. Exhaust, CAI & Tune. Best of 12.012 @ 118 MPH. I couldn't cut a good enough 60' to crack 11s. I suck. Only tracked it once or twice before I sold it, though. 2007 335xi. Cobb AP w/OTS map & BMS DCI. Went 12.9 @ 109 MPH 2007 Mazdaspeed6 GT. Bolt-ons. Bought it brand new in 2007 & should have kept it. 2010 Genesis Coupe 3.8 Track. It was a POS & I regret buying it. Got rid of it less than a year later for the above 335xi. I Tossed a 75 shot & CAI at it. Could never get a good ET because the trans (Auto) was junk. Trapped 108 MPH on spray. 99 MPH without. Sad... 1996 Mystic Mustang Cobra. Stock. Steal of a deal so I bought it. Then I found a Cobra Vert for sale local so I sold this (Made $ & used it to buy the Vert below. 1997 Mustang Cobra Vert. Bolt-ons. Just a cruiser. Really enjoyed owning it. Sold it because I made $ on it. 1999 Trans Am. Bolt-ons & suspension. 1999 Grand Prix GTP. Bolt-ons. Had this back in the day. Not bad for a 13 second boat |

Does a bike count?
My Z1000 will do a 10.3 @ 129 mph in optimal conditions with a pro rider. I have to admit that I could never do it. The front wheel comes off the ground in 1st and 2nd gear just with throttle. http://www.cycleworld.com/2014/07/01...pecifications/
