Turner or Fall Line is the best? I think Fall Line is a better design because of fewer pieces. If that's the design that's agreed upon I'll pick one up and change the design by adding the mesh grill and make them out of 304 SS.

Everyone's thoughts?

I'm not a fabricator or engineer, but can something like this be done? Is it even a good design?
Yup anything can be done!

Only complaint I've seen pertaining to the RKP version is that it protrudes down quite a bit lower than the OEM or Turner version. That might not be an issue for people who keep the stock ride height. But for someone like me that is lowered, it's a make/break issue. Other's will have their own opinion on the topic.

Do you have any suggestions in regards to design or anyone else? I'm lowered as well so it'll be good if we can address this.

The Fall Line or RKP version is running on IND's previous M3 and current M4.

Their M4 is pretty low and I believe they designed it to protrude out a bit lower so if it flexes it won't hit the cooler.

Anyway that's just my hypothesis.

I just installed the Turner Skid Plate and it's definitely made heavy duty. The aluminum is almost a 1/4 inch thick. Everything was stiff when it all went back together.

Something to consider that I read on the forum from a member who bought the Ind version.

"the "Turner/ECS" model has large open areas and a lotÂ*
of unions and rivets which, in and of themselves, could be points of failure and potentially add to the hazard."

I don't see how it could fail as it was rock solid when I received it. All the hardware including the rivets and unions are heavy duty as well. No way can it ever move. If you can only hold one you know what I mean.

Rivets can fail regardless of the how well built the piece seems. Not saying it will but simply stating the possibility as it depends greatly on the mechanical properties.

Does anyone have one I could borrow to get the dimensions and then we can make any changes? I ideally need the .igs files.
Any updates?

Also interested.

I need someone to send me theirs so I can get the dimensions and with that I can make these quickly and I'll be using 304SS not soft aluminum. We can also make any changes we need to improve the design.

I don't recall any bends when installing mine, but maybe you can just bend it back yourself? maybe it was a shipping issue? Best case is to try and test fit it as its super easy to install.
